What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The American Sighthound Field Association (ASFA) is an organization of Sighthound fanciers dedicated to the common goal of preserving and further developing the natural beauty, grace, speed and coursing skill of the Sighthound. ASFA maintains rules, procedures, and records for lure field trials. We endeavor to promote lure field trials for sighthounds. ASFA maintains and promotes the sport of lure coursing by means of a number of activities. These include: 1) Providing rules for the conduct of the trial, judge licensing, etc.; 2) Records keeping for championship Awards and Certificates; & 3) Information about the sport, including videos
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Animal Exhibitions & Shows: During the last year, ASFA sponsored 303 field trials across the country. We had 2,582 individual hounds that ran a total 12,614 times earning Certificates of Title. Our bi-monthly magazine was sent to approximately 400 subscribers. The Annual Convention of Delegates was held in . Our International Invitational was held in Overland Park, KS with over 300 entries for the two-day event.
