Form 990 Part VI

All members of the Board receive an electronic copy of the Form 990 for review and discussion prior to the Form 990 being signed and e-filed.

No new programs were added in 2010, but some facets of an older programs have received renewed focus. This facet is now being treated as a program in its own right. Specifically, Black Americans for Life. a subprogram of the Abstinence Program and ancillary to the Abortion Program by definition is designed to target the disproportionately high number of abortions received by Black women. The overall abortion rate in the US is 12 while the abortion rate for Black women is 37. This is an outreach program focused on making known the options, preventative alternatives, remedies and post-conception alternatives to all women and their support groups, be it family, friends or an organization.
Form 990 Part VI

The organization makes its documents available to the public upon request. Usually the requestor meets with the Director to review the documents and all requests for reviewing the documents are honored. No request to see and review the Form 990 is refused, however, a redacted Schedule B will provided as per regulations.
Form 990 Part III
3
The organizations main program will always be Client Services. Other programs will be more active some years and less active other years, but they never close. In 2010, for example, funding for the Married for Life Program declined, as was stated in the 2009 summary, and the program became a Subprogram of the Mommy Program -- but it still exists. Likewise, the Black American for Life Program, is a specific focus within the Abstinence Program. The 2010 activity has increased and such increase is expected to continue in future year. To keep the overall identification with its parent program, the activity is being reported under the Abstinence Program. So, there are really no new programs or significant changes in conducting any program other than the size of the program from year to year and which facet of the program is focused on during the current year.

Currently, the Board uses National Affiliate Survey results to set the Directors salary. Salaries for Key Employee positions are first offered at what the applicants work history and the qualified applicant requests a higher starting rate, the Director passes this information on to the Board and the Board approves, counters, or rejects that salary. Annual increases are based on what the organization can afford and the cost of living increase, if any.

The Center held a banquet event at a local country club. The event was advertised as open to the public but please r.s.v.p. 270 dinners were order for a total cost, including a 15 mandatory service fee, of 25 per plate. No fee was charged for attendance and 106 attendees actually contributed. These donees were advised that and amount equal to 25 times the number in their party that evening would not their charge for the meal and not a deductible charitable contribution. Several supporters, rather than attend the banquet mailed in substantial amounts. Additionally, approximately 28,000 in pledges was received, either through the mail or in addition to cash contributions that evening. The evenings program was centered the mission of the Center and amplified by the speaker for the evening. Its really a program event, but because of the dinner it is reported on line 8a.
