OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: Project Trust - Serves chronically homeless men and women currently living outside of the Department of Social Services (DSS) shelter system. This year, it served almost 560 different men and women. Project Trust also obtained housing for 400 clients. The program closed its location in December 2010 due to the end of its 5 year federal grant. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: Housing Services - Provides housing stabilization assistance for individuals living with issues of substance addiction, mental illnesses and HIV/AIDS. This year, helped 144 individuals and 210 families secure and maintain housing. Also, provided emergency financial aid to 38 clients to prevent eviction from their homes. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: Summer Camp - Program that provides a stimulating recreational program for homeless and disadvantaged children for five weeks each summer. Activities included swimming, arts and crafts, sports, dance, poetry and journal writing, field trips and reading instruction. The camp also provides job opportunities through the Organization's counselor in training and counselor programs. 103 campers ages 5-13 participated in the program this year. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 7: Mentoring - Program which provides after school tutoring sessions, college preparatory, weekend sports activities and enriching field trips to homeless and disadvantaged children, and targets campers and counselors from the Organization's summer camp. High school students are taken on college tours, provided with SAT tutoring and assisted with the college application process. Scholarships are available to help with college tuition and books. In 2010, the year-round after-school program served 75 youth aged 7-19. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 8: Neighbors Program Home Health Care - Program provides its uniquely compassionate and individualized home care to the elderly and disable of our area. Services are provided on both an hourly and live-in basis. In 2010, the Neighbors Program provided over 174,000 hours of service to approximately 916 elderly and disabled patients in Westchester County. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 9: Rainbow Outreach - Provides services-social, educational and case management-to developmentally disabled individuals and their families from traditionally underserved communities and ethnic groups. In the past year, the program served 164 developmentally disabled in individuals, served 164 developmentally disabled individuals and sponsored field trips to various events.
