INCLUDE APPROXIMATE NUMBER OF PEOPLE SERVED, PUBLICATIONS ISSUED, ETC.DERECHOS SIN FRONTERAS - FUNDED BY IPAS2010 WAS A TREMENDOUSLY SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR THE PROJECT. THE FOLLOWING HIGHLIGHTS FROM 2010 ARE ORGANIZED BY THE FOUR MAJOR PROJECT STRATEGIES:1) EDUCATING LATINO/A ADOLESCENTS IN SEXUALITY AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTHFOR OBJECTIVE 1, WE HAVE DEVELOPED A CURRICULUM FOR TRAINING YOUTH LEADERS. THE CURRICULUM IS APPROPRIATE FOR ADOLESCENTS AND IS TARGETED TO TWO AGE GROUPS: 12-TO-14-YEAR-OLDS AND 15-TO-19-YEAR-OLDS. USING THE 10-WEEK CURRICULUM, WE RECRUITED AND BEGAN TRAINING A CORE GROUP OF PARTICIPANTS IN 2009. AS PART OF THE PROGRAM, WE DEVELOPED THE NAME, OUR RIGHTS HAVE NO BORDERS, ALONG WITH A LOGO, IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE PROFILE AND NAME RECOGNITION OF THE PROJECT. WE ADDED TWO ADDITIONAL GROUPS OF YOUNG LEADERS IN 2010, ONE IN RALEIGH AND ONE IN FUQUAY VARINA, TOTALING 30 PARTICIPANTS. AS EVIDENCE OF THE EFFICACY OF THE PROJECT'S AIM TO DEVELOP YOUNG LEADERS, TWO MEMBERS OF THE 2009 GROUP PARTICIPATED AS CO-FACILITATORS FOR THE NEW GROUPS. IN ADDITION WE RECRUITED AN INTERN TO ASSIST WITH PROJECT LOGISTICS.IN 2010 WE REFINED THE TRAINING CURRICULUM BASED ON LESSONS LEARNED IN THE FIRST YEAR. EARLIER IN THE PROJECT, A CAPSTONE TEAM FROM THE HEALTH BEHAVIOR AND HEALTH EDUCATION DEPARTMENT AT UNC SELECTED EL PUEBLO, INC. AS A COMMUNITY PARTNER AND COMPLETED AN EVALUATION OF THE PROJECT'S FIRST YEAR. BASED ON THIS EVALUATION, THE CAPSTONE TEAM REFINED AND REVISED THE CURRICULUM AS PART OF THEIR GRADUATE PROJECT. THE REVISED VERSION WAS FINALIZED IN APRIL 2010. THE CURRICULUM IS DIVIDED INTO 10 TRAINING SESSIONS: 1) ANATOMY AND PUBERTY; 2) REPRODUCTIVE AND SEXUAL RIGHTS; 3) SEX, GENDER, AND SEXUAL ORIENTATION; 4) DATING AND HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS; 5) ATTENTION TO AND PREVENTION OF VIOLENCE IN RELATIONSHIPS; 6) SELF-ESTEEM AND BODY IMAGE (INCLUDING EATING DISORDERS); 7) CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS; 8) EARLY PREGNANCY, UNPLANNED PREGNANCIES, AND OPTIONS; 9) SEXUALLY TRANSMITTED INFECTIONS AND HIV; AND 10) AN OPEN REVIEW SESSION FOR REVISITING ISSUES THAT WERE RAISED DURING THE NINE PREVIOUS SESSIONS.AS AN ONGOING PART OF THE PROGRAM, WE HAVE CONTINUOUSLY WORKED TO BUILD A STRONG AND OPEN RELATIONSHIP WITH PARTICIPANT'S PARENTS. TO FORMALLY WRAP UP THE PROJECT YEAR, IN DECEMBER 2010 WE HELD A MEETING IN WHICH PARENTS AND PROJECT PARTICIPANTS SHARED THOUGHTS, LESSONS LEARNED DURING THE 2010 PROJECT CYCLE, AND IDEAS FOR THE 2011 PROJECT YEAR, INCLUDING WAYS TO FURTHER INVOLVE PARENTS AND TO HELP THEM SUPPORT THEIR CHILDREN IN BECOMING STRONG LEADERS AND ADVOCATES. A TOTAL OF 21 YOUTH AND ADOLESCENTS AND 17 PARENTS PARTICIPATED IN THE MEETING. 2) TRAINING LATINO/A ADOLESCENTS AS PEER EDUCATORSFOR OBJECTIVE 2, WE BEGAN MENTORING PARTICIPANTS IN PEER-TO-PEER TRAINING IN 2009 AND INCREASED THE INTEGRATION OF THESE MENTORING ACTIVITIES IN THE PROJECT IN 2010. IN APRIL 2010 THREE YOUTH FROM OUR PROGRAM FACILITATED A BODY IMAGE PEER-TO-PEER PRESENTATION AND TRAINING AT EL PUEBLO, INC.'S MAIN OFFICE. A TOTAL OF 35 YOUTH PARTICIPATED IN THIS TRAINING AND LEARNED ABOUT EATING DISORDERS, BODY IMAGE, AND THE IMPACT OF MEDIA ON THESE ISSUES. THE PARTICIPANTS LATER USED THE SKILLS THEY LEARNED DURING THIS TRAINING AT PUBLIC EVENTS. YOUTH FROM THE PROGRAM ALSO PARTICIPATED IN LA FIESTA DEL PUEBLO, A TWO-DAY FAIR ORGANIZED BY EL PUEBLO, INC., AT WHICH THE YOUTH FROM OUR PROJECT STAFFED TWO BOOTHS, ONE IN THE HEALTH AND PUBLIC SAFETY FAIR AND THE OTHER IN THE YOUTH FAIR. AT THE BOOTHS, PARTICIPANTS LED GAMES AND DEMONSTRATIONS ON HOW TO USE FEMALE AND MALE CONDOMS AND PROVIDED INFORMATION TO OTHER YOUTH AND TO ADULTS ABOUT OTHER CONTRACEPTIVE METHODS. OUR FIRST FORMAL PEER-TO-PEER TRAINING WORKSHOP FOR 2010 WAS HELD IN JULY. IN ADDITION TO PROJECT PARTICIPANTS, YOUNG PEOPLE FROM OTHER EL PUEBLO, INC. PROGRAMS, ALONG WITH YOUTH FROM PLANNED PARENTHOOD CENTRAL NORTH CAROLINA, PARTICIPATED IN THE TRAINING IN ORDER TO STRENGTHEN THE PROGRAM'S RELATIONSHIP WITH OTHER AGENCIES AND TO EXTEND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES TO OTHER YOUTH GROUPS. IN DECEMBER 2010, AN ADDITIONAL TRAINING WAS HELD. 12 YOUTH FROM THE 2010 PROJECT GROUP, ALONG WITH SEVERAL PARTICIPANTS FROM THE 2009 GROUP, PARTICIPATED IN A TWO-DAY PEER-TO-PEER TRAINING AT CAMP NEW HOPE IN CHAPEL HILL. THE YOUNG PARTICIPANTS LEARNED ABOUT HOW TO PLAN AND IMPLEMENT A PEER-TO-PEER PRESENTATION. DURING THIS TRAINING, THE YOUTH WERE DIVIDED IN GROUPS TO PRESENT THE MODULES OF OUR RIGHTS HAVE NO BORDERS URRICULUM TO THEIR PEERS. THE PARTICIPANTS HAVE BEGUN USING THEIR PEER-TO-PEER EDUCATION TECHNIQUES IN THEIR COMMUNITIES AND WILL BE MENTORED AS THEY USE THESE NEWLY LEARNED TECHNIQUES THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT'S CURRENT YEAR. IN 2011, WE WILL BUILD ON THIS OBJECTIVE BY HAVING PARTICIPANTS LEAD TRAINING SESSIONS FOR ALL PHASES OF THE PROJECT. MOMENTUM FOR THIS OBJECTIVE WILL BUILD: IN THE SECOND YEAR, YOUTH FROM THE FIRST YEAR OF THE PROGRAM BEGAN TRAINING THEIR PEERS, AND IN 2011, WE WILL SEE EVEN MORE PARTICIPANTS TRAIN THEIR PEERS UNDER CLOSE MENTORSHIP AND GUIDANCE.IN AUGUST 2010 CAROL OSORIO-HODGMAN JOINED OUR TEAM AS THE OUR RIGHTS HAVE NO BORDERS PROGRAM COORDINATOR. IN NOVEMBER, SHE PARTICIPATED IN A THREE-DAY HIV PREVENTION TRAINING AT THE ADOLESCENT PREGNANCY PREVENTION CAMPAIGN OF NORTH CAROLINA (APPCNC) OFFICE. THERE SHE WAS TRAINED TO FACILITATE, CUIDITE, WHICH IS AN HIV-PREVENTION CURRICULUM TAILORED FOR USE WITH LATINO/A ADOLESCENTS.3) COACHING LATINO/A ADOLESCENTS IN MEDIA RELATIONSWE HELD TWO MEDIA TRAININGS IN EARLY 2010, ONE ON COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND OTHER ON NEW MEDIA. THE RESULTING WORKSHOP DISCUSSED DIFFERENT TYPES OF MEDIA OUTLETS, HOW TO USE MEDIA FOR ADVOCACY, AND HOW TO CREATE EFFECTIVE MESSAGES. THE WORKSHOP PLACED AN EMPHASIS ON TRAINING PROJECT PARTICIPANTS TO UNDERSTAND AND UTILIZE NEW MEDIA OUTLETS SUCH AS FACEBOOK, TWITTER, AND YOUTUBE, WHICH ARE MORE ACCESSIBLE TO YOUTH, HAVE LOWER BARRIERS TO ENTRY, AND ARE MORE POPULAR AMONG YOUTH THAN TRADITIONAL MEDIA. ALTHOUGH THE TRAININGS WERE SUCCESSFUL, THE ACTUAL IMPLEMENTATION OF MEDIA-RELATED ACTIVITIES HAS BEEN CHALLENGING BECAUSE IT REQUIRES MONITORING AND FOLLOW-UP ON A DAILY BASIS. BECAUSE OF THE DIFFICULTY OF FORMALLY INCORPORATING THIS STRATEGY, AND DUE TO THE SUCCESS OF THE OTHER THREE PROJECT STRATEGIES, WE HAVE DECIDED TO REDUCE THE PROJECT STRATEGIES FOR 2011 TO ONLY THREE. ALTHOUGH MEDIA TRAINING IS NO LONGER A FORMAL STRATEGY FOR THE PROJECT IN 2011, INCORPORATING LESSONS AND STRATEGIES FROM THE MEDIA TRAININGS THAT TOOK PLACE IN 2010 CONTINUES TO BE PART OF THE ACTIVITIES UNDER OUR ADVOCACY TRAINING STRATEGY.4) DEVELOPING LATINO/A ADOLESCENTS' ADVOCACY SKILLSTEN PARTICIPANTS TRAVELED TO WASHINGTON, D.C. IN MARCH 2010 TO PARTICIPATE IN NATIONAL ADVOCACY DAY. THERE PARTICIPANTS RECEIVED ADDITIONAL TRAINING ON PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTING EFFECTIVE LEGISLATIVE VISITS FOR ADVOCACY PURPOSES, AND LINKING IMMIGRATION WITH OTHER TOPICS, SUCH AS EDUCATION AND HEALTH.WE CONDUCTED A ONE-DAY TRAINING ON YOUNG PEOPLE'S SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS FOR 14 PARTICIPANTS FROM LOCAL PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS (EL PUEBLO, INC., APPCNC, MEDICAL STUDENTS FOR CHOICE FROM UNC, AND JUNIOR STAFF AT IPAS). THE EXERCISES WERE BLENDED WITH INTERACTIVE SESSIONS COVERING DEFINITIONS AND CHARACTERISTICS OF YOUTH AND YOUNG PEOPLE, HUMAN RIGHTS, AND SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS. PARTICIPANTS ALSO PRACTICED USING POSITIVE LANGUAGE AND TAKING A RIGHTS-BASED APPROACH TO SEXUALITY AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH ADVOCACY, WHICH RESULTED IN EXPERIENCES AND IDEAS THAT THEY CAN APPLY TO THEIR EVERYDAY ADVOCACY EFFORTS.WE ALSO HELD TWO FORMAL ADVOCACY TRAININGS, ONE IN THE SUMMER WITH PARTICIPANTS FROM EL PUEBLO, INC. AND PLANNED PARENTHOOD AND ONE IN NOVEMBER WITH PARTICIPANTS FROM THE 2010 GROUP OF PROJECT PARTICIPANTS. YOUTH FORUM IN OCTOBER 2010, WE CONVENED THE FIRST LATINO/A YOUTH FORUM ON REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND SEXUALITY, TITLED YOUTH LINKS, WHICH IPAS AND EL PUEBLO, INC. PLANNED IN CONJUNCTION WITH PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS. THE FORUM WAS AN OVERWHELMING SUCCESS, HOSTING MORE THAN 100 YOUTH ATTENDEES, 30 PARENTS, REPRESENTATIVES FROM PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS, AND A REPRESENTATIVE FROM MEXICO'S CONSULATE IN THE U.S. THE FORUM WAS DESIGNED TO INCREASE LATINO/A YOUTH'S ABILITY TO BECOME SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS LEADERS, AND TO ESTABLISH, OR STRENGTHEN, THE CONNECTION BETWEEN THE IMMIGRATION AGENDA AND THE SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND HUMAN RIGHTS AGENDA FOR THE BENEFIT OF NORTH CAROLINA YOUTH. THE FORUM'S THREE SPECIFIC GOALS WERE: (1) TO INCREASE PARTICIPANTS' KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO BECOME ADVOCATES FOR SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS, AND THEIR ABILITY TO DEVELOP ADVOCACY MESSAGES BASED ON THE NEEDS OF LATINO/A YOUTH;

THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT ARE TO PREVENT INITIATION AND PROMOTE CESSATION OF TOBACCO USE AMONG YOUTH, PROMOTE SMOKE-FREE ENVIRONMENTS, AND HELP ELIMINATE HEALTH DISPARITIES AMONG LATINOS RELATED TO TOBACCO USE BY STRENGTHENING LEADERSHIP SKILLS, ENCOURAGING GOAL-SETTING AND GOOD DECISION-MAKING, AND EMPOWERING YOUTH TO BE MORE INVOLVED IN THEIR COMMUNITY. DURING 2010, THE PROJECT: 1)PROVIDED OVER 21 SKILL-BUILDING TRAININGS, TOBACCO 101/MEDIA 101 MODULES, & PEER-TO-PEER PRESENTATIONS; 2) IMPLEMENTED OVER 5 SMOKE FREE EVENTS & MERCHANT EDUCATION CAMPAIGNS; 3) DEVELOPED OVER 12 CLAS MEDIA MESSAGES & PROMOTIONAL ITEMS; 4) ORGANIZED TWO MAJOR STATEWIDE EVENTS: THE YOUTH FAIR AT LA FIESTA DEL PUEBLO & THE LATINO YOUTH FORUM; 5) ACTED AS TA RESOURCE FOR GRANTEES & HWTF PROGRAMS BY CREATING, TRANSLATING, & UPDATING MATERIALS FOR USE WITH LATINO COMMUNITY; 6) PARTICIPATED AND STATE AND NATIONAL CONFERENCES TO INCREASE THE CULTURAL AND LINGUISTIC COMPETENCE OF THE TTUPC INITIATIVE.

CULTURAL PROGRAMSTHE PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY OF THE CULTURAL PROGRAMS IS THE ANNUAL FIESTA DEL PUEBLO. THE FIESTA SHOWCASES LOCAL ARTISTS WITH MUSIC, DANCE, ARTS AND CRAFTS. HEALTH PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS CONTINUED : PART III LINE 4B (2) TO INCREASE STAKEHOLDERS' KNOWLEDGE ABOUT, AND DESIRE TO IMPROVE, THE SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS SITUATION OF LATINO/A YOUTH IN NORTH CAROLINA; AND, (3) TO IMPROVE PARENTS' SKILLS TO TALK TO THEIR CHILDREN ABOUT SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH ISSUES AND TO HELP THEM SUPPORT THEIR CHILDREN IN BECOMING COMMUNITY ADVOCATES. TO INCREASE PARTICIPANTS' KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS TO BECOME ADVOCATES FOR SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS, AND TO INCREASE THEIR ABILITY TO DEVELOP KEY ADVOCACY MESSAGES IN TERMS OF EDUCATION, SERVICES, AND RECOGNITION OF THEIR RIGHTS, THE FORUM WAS COMPRISED OF THREE MAIN TRACKS OR WORKSHOPS WITHIN THE FORUM. IN THE WORKSHOPS, YOUTH LEARNED ABOUT ACCESS TO SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH SERVICES; THE HEALTHY YOUTH ACT, A NEW LAW THAT REQUIRES NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOLS TO OFFER COMPREHENSIVE SEX EDUCATION IN ADDITION TO ABSTINENCE-ONLY CURRICULA; HOW TO BECOME ADVOCATES FOR SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS FOR AND WITHIN THE LATINO/A YOUTH COMMUNITY; HOW SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS ARE CONNECTED TO IMMIGRATION AND HUMAN RIGHTS; AND HOW TO BUILD MESSAGES THAT REFLECT A POSITIVE IMAGE. IN AN FFORT TO ALLOW PARTICIPANTS TO DEVELOP IN-DEPTH KNOWLEDGE IN ONE OF THESE THREE AREAS, ALL YOUTH WERE PLACED IN ONE OF THREE TRACKS FOR THE DURATION OF THE FORUM. THE TRACKS WERE: ACCESS TO SERVICE (THE BLUE TRACK) THE FIRST TRACK, TITLED, YEAH RIGHTS! YOUTH REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS & BARRIERS, FOCUSED ON ACCESS TO SERVICES AND INCLUDED WORKSHOPS AIMED AT TEACHING YOUTH ABOUT THEIR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS. MORE SPECIFICALLY, IT ASKED YOUTH ABOUT BARRIERS TO EXERCISING THEIR REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS, AND PARTICIPANTS BRAINSTORMED WAYS IN WHICH THEY COULD STAND UP FOR THEIR RIGHTS AND WORK TO OVERCOME THESE BARRIERS. ACCESS TO INFORMATION (THE YELLOW TRACK) THE SECOND TRACK, TITLED TO TEACH OR NOT TO TEACH? THE HEALTHY YOUTH ACT, ADDRESSED ACCESS TO INFORMATION. IT EXPLAINED THE NEW HEALTHY YOUTH ACT, A LAW THAT WAS PASSED TO GUARANTEE YOUTH ACCESS TO COMPREHENSIVE SEX EDUCATION, BEYOND ABSTINENCE-ONLY. YOUTH IN THIS WORKSHOP ADDRESSED WAYS TO RAISE AWARENESS OF THE LAW ALONG WITH WAYS IN WHICH THEY COULD ADVOCATE FOR FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF THE LAW IN THEIR LOCAL SCHOOLS. DIVERSITY AND SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS (THE ORANGE TRACK) THE THIRD TRACK, WE ARE ALL DIVERSE, WE ARE ALL EQUAL! FOCUSED ON DIVERSITY AND SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS, AND IT INCLUDED WORKSHOPS THAT TAUGHT YOUTH TO VALUE DIVERSITY AND TO TAKE PRIDE IN THEIR IDENTITIES. MORE SPECIFICALLY, IT HELPED WORKSHOP PARTICIPANTS UNDERSTAND HOW BEING A LATINO/A YOUTH INFLUENCES SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND HELPED THEM LEARN HOW TO BECOME ADVOCATES FOR DIVERSITY AND TOLERANCE WITHIN THEIR COMMUNITIES. BASED ON THE LESSONS WE LEARNED FROM THE FORUM, WE WILL PLAN AND CONVENE A SIMILAR FORUM IN 2011. THESE PLANS INCLUDE INTRODUCING MORE ADVANCED CONTENT IN ORDER TO BUILD ON THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE FORUM'S FIRST YEAR. IMPACT WITH A CADRE OF LOCAL YOUNG PEOPLE EDUCATED ABOUT, TRAINED IN, AND COMMITTED TO SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND RIGHTS, WE ANTICIPATE THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO REACH MANY MORE PEOPLE IN THE LATINO/A COMMUNITY, ESPECIALLY YOUNG WOMEN AND MEN, WITH AGE-APPROPRIATE, MEDICALLY ACCURATE, AND CULTURALLY COMPETENT INFORMATION. SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCING THE RATE OF TEENAGE PREGNANCY AND THE SPREAD OF HIV AND STDS AMONG LATINO/AS IS A LONG-TERM EFFORT BEYOND THE INITIAL SCOPE OF THIS PROJECT. HOWEVER, THIS INNOVATIVE PROJECT WILL GENERATE SIGNIFICANT CHANGES BY DEVELOPING A CORE GROUP OF YOUNG LATINO/AS WITH THE KNOWLEDGE, ATTITUDES, AND ADVOCACY SKILLS TO ONFIDENTLY ADDRESS THESE CRITICAL ISSUES. IN ADDITION, AN EVALUATION OF THE FORUM BY A COMMUNICATIONS GRADUATE STUDENT FROM UNC SHOWED THAT NOT ONLY WAS THE FORUM AN OVERALL POSITIVE EXPERIENCE FOR FORUM PARTICIPANTS, BUT THAT YOUTH WITH EXPERIENCE IN THE IPAS/EL PUEBLO, INC. PROGRAM WERE MORE COMFORTABLE WITH OPENLY TALKING ABOUT TOPICS OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AND SEXUALITY, AND THAT THEY WERE WILLING TO SHARE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND TRAINING WITH LESS EXPERIENCED PARTICIPANTS. HAZLO POR TU FAMILIA - FUNDED BY SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE EDUCATION AND OUTREACH: APPROX. 900 PEOPLE SERVED (FISCAL YEAR IS FROM APRIL TO MARCH) SCREENING: APPROX. 50 PEOPLE REFERRALS: 50 PEOPLE TRANSPORTATION: 28 SUCCESSES: REACHED MORE THAN THE NUMBER OF LATINAS PROJECTED IN THE GRANT WITH EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION, WITH PATIENT NAVIGATION BY HELPING WOMEN ACCESS SERVICES AND WITH TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THEIR SCREENING APPOINTMENTS. COLLABORATED WITH SEVERAL AGENCIES TO ORGANIZE THE FIRST EVER SUPPORT GROUP FOR LATINA BREAST CANCER SURVIVORS IN CHATHAM COUNTY. COMUNIDAD SANA - FUNDED BY SUSAN G. KOMEN FOR THE CURE EDUCATION AND OUTREACH: OVER 1,500 LATINAS SERVED IN THE 13-COUNTY REGION (FISCAL YEAR IS FROM APRIL TO MARCH) REFERRALS: 240 PEOPLE SUCCESSES: REACHED MORE THAN THE NUMBER OF LATINAS PROJECTED IN THE GRANT WITH EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION, WITH PATIENT NAVIGATION BY HELPING WOMEN ACCESS SERVICES AND WITH TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM THEIR SCREENING APPOINTMENTS. COLLABORATED WITH SEVERAL AGENCIES TO SUPPORT THE EVENTS ORGANIZED BY KOMEN AND BY THE SUPPORT GROUP IN WAKE COUNTY. MUJER SANA - FUNDED BY GLAXOSMITHKLINE EDUCATION AND OUTREACH: OVER 200 LATINAS RECEIVED INFORMATION ABOUT BREAST AND GYNECOLOGICAL CANCERS PROGRAM COORDINATOR HELPS WOMEN NAVIGATE THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. OVER 30 WOMEN RECEIVED GAS CARDS TO HELP THEM PAY FOR GAS TO GET TO AND FROM MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS AND TO THE SUPPORT GROUP IN WAKE COUNTY.
