Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Minnesota Trucking Association's mission is to ensure that the trucking industry speaks with one voice by bringing together truckers, their employees and contractors, and allies to create a positive image for the industry; provide safe, environmentally clean, and essential services; and encourage an economic and political environment that provides our industry with fair competition.

	Annual Conference - This program provides MTA members with an opportunity for in-depth learning experiences, safety awards, an annual meeting, and the opportunity to network with other members. 2009's event included seminars such as; How Trucking can take advantage of the Federal Stimulus; CSA2010 and the New Look of Motor Carrier Enforcement; Contracts and Collection Strategies; Obtaining Financing in Todays Market; and Getting Ready for Electronic Logging.

Description of Uncertain Tax Positions Under FIN 48:	Part X:	The Association is exempt from income taxes under Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(6) except for taxes on unrelated business income from sales of advertising. On June 30, 2011, the Association adopted the recognition requirement for uncertain income tax positions as required by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) Accounting Standards Codification 740-10 (formerly known as FASB Interpretation No. 48, Accounting for Uncertainty in Income Taxes), with no cumulative effect adjustment required. Income tax benefits are recognized for income tax positions taken or expected to be taken in a tax return, only when it is determined that the income tax position will more-likely-than-not be sustained upon examination by taxing authorities. The Association has analyzed tax positions taken for filing with the Internal Revenue Service and the state jurisdiction where it operates. The Association believes that income tax filing positions will be sustained upon examination and does not anticipate any adjustments that would result in a material adverse affect on the Association's financial condition, results of operations, or cash flows. Accordingly, the Association has not recorded any reserves, or related accruals for interest and penalties for uncertain income tax positions at June 30, 2011. The Association is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits in progress for any open tax periods. The Association's open audit periods are the years ended June 30, 2008, 2009, and 2010.
