MIDWEST FOREST INDUSTRY SHOWThis show is held every two years. For 2009 it was in Cape Girardeau, MO. It is traditionally known as the premier forest industry equipment, machinery and service exposition in the Midwest. Over 150 of the top forest products equipment and service companies exhibit in the show, drawing over 7,000 key industry personnel to view the two day event. The opportunity for the MFPA members to attend various educational sessions and observe the latest technology which is a valuable service for them to be able to upgrade equipment to stay competitive in the industry. A show was not held in 2010.

WINTER MEETING AND SUMMER TECHNICAL SESSIONThese two meetings are held annually by the MFPA. These meetings are educational and technical allowing members to hear from top national and state experts discussing areas of interest to them. The Summer meeting is also the annual meeting where elections are held to determine future leadership for the association. Speakers present the latest information in new legislation and regulations to keep members current on the changes in the industry. At both meetings, time is made available for discussion among members to discuss problems and new opportunities in the industry.
