What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE ORGANIZATION IS DEDICATED EXCLUSIVELY TO THE PROFESSION OF VETERINARY MEDICINE AND THE INTEREST OF VETERINARIANS, THEIR CLIENTS AND PATIENTS BY MONITORING STATE LEGISLATION AND REGULATIONS THAT PERTAIN TO VETERINARY MEDICINE, ADVOCACY ON PUBLIC POLICY MATTERS, AND CONTINUING EDUCATION.

MAINTAING AN INDEPENDENT LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR DOCTORS OF VETERINARY MEDICINE IS OF PARAMOUNT IMPORTANCE.CONFERENCES ARE PROVIDED ALONG WITH DISSEMINATION THROUGH A NEWSLETTER.

THE STATE BOARD OF VETERINARY MEDICAL EXAMINERS REQUIRES LICENSED VETERINARIANS TO OBTAIN 24 HOURS OF CONT EDUC IN A 2 YEAR CYCLE IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN THEIR LICENSE TO PRACTICE. THERE WERE 105 PARTICIPANTS AT THE ANNUAL MEETING.
