What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? ADVANCE THE PRACTICE OF COMMUNITY BASED APPROACHES TO LEARNING
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Since its informal beginnings in 2002, CPsquare's primary purpose has been to serve the needs of its members as they study and practice the social and technical arts that support communities of practice in diverse settings. It serves non-members as well, by offering seminars, conferences, newsletters and publications.During 2010 CPsquare offered the online "Foundations of Communities of Practice" workshop two times. It is designed, led and mentored by members, members are guest speakers. A total of 36 people participated and afterwards they were invited to join the community. For the workshop there were roughly 19 teleconferences and 4 follow-up meetings.Between 100 and 150 dues-paying members of CPsquare participated in dozens of asynchronous conversations such as "Help in Real Time" on topics ranging from "community charters" to "augmenting meetings with Skype video".
