Summer Camp Program The Georgia Alliance of B&GC has contracted with the Department of Human Services, through its Division of Family and Children Services to provide Summer Camp Services for children between the age groups of 5-12 years of families eligible for the State's Temporary Childcare Summer Camp. The Services included the following: - Project based leaning program in the areas of Performing and Fine Arts, Math, Science and Technology, Digital Media, Sports Management, Literacy and Communication, Career Exploration - Enrichment activities through programs such as Project Learn, Power Hour, Field Trips - Physical activity through Triple Play program used to promote exercise and healthy sports competition - Health Education through SMART moves program and Healthy habits - Character and Leadership Development through Torch Club

Teen Reach Program The Illinois Alliance of B&GC has contracted with the Department of Human Services to serve 9850 youth in 50 sites for the fiscal year with an average daily attendance of 34%. The Teen Reach program serves youth between the ages of 6 through 17 years with an emphasis on recruitment and retention. Some of the program outcomes include: - Maintain or improve grades or progress in school. The sites offer Power Hour which provides homework assistance, tutoring and educational enhancement activities to encourage the youth to become self directed learners and achieve. - Maintain or improve school attendance - Through diverse programs like Keystone & Torch Clubs, Goals for Graduation, Career Launch and SMART moves programs, youth are encouraged and motivated to attend school and graduate. - Develop or improve career aspirations and choices - programs geared to careers, leadership, educational activities and opportunities can expose youth to a wide range of experiences for growth - Increase knowledge of the harmful effects of alcohol and substance use & abuse, sexual activity and pregnancy through programs such as SMART Moves, SMART Girls, Passport to Manhood. procedures for monitoring the use of grant funds in the united states schedule i, part i, line 2 Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) strives to provide on-going and effective technical assistance, information, systems and monitoring so as to help ensure that local Clubs receiving pass-through grants from BGCA subsidiaries make full and compliant use of all funds awarded to each BGCA subsidiary. For the life of the grant, contract, etc., the Financial/Legal Services, Services to Clubs and Federal Grants Departments of BGCA provide compliance and fiscal management related guidance and oversight. Throughout the process, information and education is provided to Club representatives through, grant administration trainings; online via www.bgca.net; and letters of agreement. Further, in every state where grants are received, a program coordinator is identified to monitor the grant compliance and program deliverables. The Program coordinators review reimbursement requests received from local clubs for accuracy, allowability and appropriateness. BGCA also conducts numerous onsite audits of local Club organizations and their grant and fiscal management procedures, again to ensure that the Clubs are compliant with the terms of the grants awarded to them by BGCA subsidiaries and are using the grant funds appropriately for the deliverables of the grants. Majority of these site visits are conducted by independent CPA firms on behalf of BGCA.
