What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? VACC validates, through certification, a specialized body of vascular access knowledge for medical professionals.
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 During 2010, VACC began vascular access certification for a broad range of health care professionals and clinicians actively engaged in the practice of vascular access. Candidates for certification include, but are not limited to, RN's, MD's, PA's, NP's, LPN's, LVN's, educators, radiology technicians, respiratory therapists, infection preventionists and EMS professionals.The VA-BC exam is offered twice yearly in June and December. VACC is committed through credentialing to raising the bar in the speciality of vascular access through Evidence Based Practice, professionalism and advocating safe and responsible practice for patients and families.
