Explanation:
All members of the Board of Directors, including the Treasurer, serve on a voluntary basis. The present Treasurer took over the responsibilities for the financial accounting and reporting of the organization in May 2011 and determined that while the former Treasurer had completed the filing for 2007, she was not knowledgeable of the ongoing filing requirements and related due dates. In addition, a change in address occurred since the 2007 return was filed so the previous Treasurer did not receive any notices relative to the 2008, 2009 or 2010 returns. Immediately upon being appointed, the current Treasurer became aware of the status of the 2008, 2009 and 2010 returns and proceeded to take the necessary steps to file the returns.
