	Periodic newsletter to members providing information on various topics important to manufacturers.During the year six newletters were published. Approximately 1,400 copies of each edition were distributed. Distribution included all membership classes and others who have expressed an interest in current topics affecting the manufacturing industry in Nevada.

	Analysis and advocacy related to political issues affecting manufacturers.During the year approximately 20 issues were identified as having potentially significant effects on some portion of manufacturers in Nevada.Analysis was accomplished by: careful study of proposed changes to laws or administrative regulations; discussion with members most likely to be affected by those changes; review of results from similar changes in other localities; and, consideration of other resources.Advocacy was accomplished through direct discussion with individuals responsible for establishing, drafting, or implementing the proposed changes. Advocacy also included educating those individuals regarding the difficulties involved in implementing proposed changes, alternatives that may be available to accomplish the intended results, and the manufacturers point-of-view regarding the wisdom or necessity of the proposed changes.Information regarding these issues was communicated to members through the newsletter, or by targeted communications (generally e-mail) to selected portions of the membership most likely to be affected by the proposed change. During the year there were approximately 500 or more of these targeted communications.
