What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? TO PROVIDE FOR THE STATEWIDE ASSOCIATION OF ADDICTION COUNSELORS. TO PROVIDE PUBLIC EDUCATION CONCERNING ADDICTIVE ILLNESS AND THE TREATMENT AND PREVENTION THEREOF. TO MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS IN CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR PROFESSIONALS WHO PROVIDE ADDICTION COUNSELLING. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES OVER 574 MEMBERS. IT PUBLISHES A NEWSLETTER FOUR TIMES DURING THE YEAR. IT PROVIDES CONTINUING EDUCATION FOR ITS MEMBERS THROUGH TWO CONFERENCES DURING THE YEAR. IT ALSO CORDINATES WITH OTHER PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS ON AREAS OF MUTUAL INTEREST.
