TREC IS A PUBLICLY SUPPORTED CHARITY AS DESCRIBED IN IRC 170(B)(10(A)(VI) AND 509(A)(1) BECAUSE IT IS MORE THAN 10% PUBLICLY SUPPORTED. IN ADDITION, IT MEETS THE FACTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES TEST BECAUSE IT HAS A BROAD, COMMUNITY-BASED BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND ATTRACTS FUNDING BASED ON THE PUBLIC NATURE OF ITS PROGRAMMATIC ACCOMPLISHMENTS. TREC'S MISSION IS TO CATALYZE THE HABITAT CONSERVATION AND WILDERNESS PROTECTION COMMUNITY IN WESTERN NORTH AMERICA TO PROMOTE SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENTAL INTEGRITY AND DIVERSITY.
