What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Our organization, the Cosmopolitan Breakfast Club, is part of Cosmopolitan International service organization founded in 1918. Our club is comprised of business and professional women and men dedicated to the ideal of service to our community through projects and programs that make our community a better place. We meet every Tuesday morning at 7:00 am at the Cosmopolitan Community Center to share breakfast and fellowship. Our main philanthropic focus is generating financial support for diabetes research and education. Locally we provide financial support for the Cosmopolitan Diabetes Center located at the University Hospital. In addition, we provide partial funding for local charitable organizations and scholarships.

28 We distributed funding to our parent organization the Cosmopolitan International for their Beacons program and memorial bricks at their headquarters, to the Cosmopolitan International Diabetes Center in Columbia, Missouri, partial funding to various local charitable organizations, and scholarships.
