OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: SPONSOR A COMMUNITY TRANSFORMATIONAL CENTER (CTC): SPONSORS FROM AROUND THE USA AND THE WORLD SPONSOR A COMMUNITY FOR $100 PER MONTH. These funds provided the community services in the communities served by CTC's. Community Transformational Center (CTC) Community Services Program Activities include:- Providing free medical and dental clinics- Improving drinking water, sanitation systems, and school buildings- Providing socialization activities and family counseling to strengthen the communities- Providing staple food packages to families- Providing Job Training and counseling assistance which includes: understanding what is community, family counseling, understanding about Loans, community development training, building teamwork, understanding healthiness & diseases, holistic ministry, prayer, building community involvement, raising the awareness of the importance of community involvement, microcredit, and building the strength of the community.- Operating Microcredit/Micro-loan programs providing capital for small business enterprises- Providing Educational Services and tutorial programs: English lessons, computer lessons, reading lessons, to both adults and children- 79 students have graduated from World Harvest kindergartens in the villages of Melayu, Muara Baru, Kampung Sawah, Sewan Tongyan, and Wahana Harapan. - CTC's in Aceh also provided education to pre-school aged children through a playgroup for children in Lambheu, Lampaya, Sawang and Seubun Ayon, and a Kindergarten in SawangTHE NUMBER SERVED CONSISTS OF STUDENTS AND OTHERS WHO RECEIVE MEDICAL SERVICES, COUNSELING, AND EMPOWERMENT AS FOLLOWS: - 58 communities spread across Jabodetabek (the cities of Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi) and Semarang with a total of 3,329 students and. A total of 4,757 people received the medical services. - 5 communities in Aceh including 1,619 people at our CTC's in Lampaya, Seubun Ayon, Tiengkum, Sawang, and Neuhuen and about 207 children in the Playgroup held at our CTC in Lambheu were served with Tutoring programs including Computer, English and Reading classes for 247 children in Lambheu, Seubun Ayon, and one community in Nias. - The kindergarten, held at our CTC in Teluk Belukar, Nias served 69 children. The number of beneficiaries of our microcredit loans in Jabodetabek is 103 households in 17 communities with loan amounts ranging from $30-$50 per family with repayment terms of 6-12 months. A total of $20,000 has been provided since February 2009.Most of the services provided are being conducted in our CTCs in or near communities: - 4 CTCs in Jabodetabek (Cilincing, Kampung Melayu, Tangerang; Kampung Sawah, Tg. Priok; Muara Baru, Pluit; and SukaDamai, Tangerang) - 5 CTCs in Aceh (Lambheu, Tingkeum, Sawang, Lampaya and Seubon Ayon) - 1 CTC in Nias (Teluk Belukar village/Gunung Sitoli). OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: SPONSOR A LEADER: SPONSORS FROM AROUND THE USA AND THE WORLD SPONSOR A LEADER FOR $30 PER MONTH. THESE FUNDS provided scholarships to students from remote provinces in eastern Indonesia to attend the World Harvest College of Information Management and Computers (STIMIK), where the students study cutting-edge technology and English, equipped with three areas of expertise - Theology (Christian character), Technology and English Language Competency, in the hope that they will be well-equipped to return to their provinces and lead the process of transformation in their community and country.
