Program service income is related to registrations for environmental
educational seminars and similar nonprofit administrative svc.
All were earned while performing our nonprofit purpose.
Program descriptions
Grazing-Outreach for and implementation of Conservation Stewardship program putting
conservation practices in place. NWPG Managed Grazing Expansion designed to protect
and improve water quality, promote and expand rotational grazing, reduce fossil fuel use and
associated pollutants. NWPG Pasture Improvement adds water installation to this effort.
Tourism-Multiple projects including Warren County Winterfest, the largest winter festival in the
Pennsylvania Wilds; Tionesta Valley Snowmobile Club working to maintain and groom designated
snowmobile trails in eastern and central Warren County; hosting the Geo Woodstock conference,
the 9th annual international geocashing convention was wosted in Warren County; North Country Trail
Connector project wil link and enhance access to the collective recreational recources of Chapman State
Park; PA Wilds Trail Conference providing a valuable forum to discuss land and water trails,
their tourism draw for the region, and the related issues surrounding their development,
maintenance, promotion, economic impact, and more.
Environmental Educational conferences-Multiple educational conferences seeking to empower our
NWPG technical assistance; Tri State Tillage Conference which shares the benefits of no till systems to
improve the economics for farmers in the area;Cheese Making Course provides a hands-on opportunity
to learn and implement various marketing strategies; PA Resource Conservation and Development
Conference provided tours and education programs on successful resource conservation and
development programs already working in the state; Joel Salatin Field Day served as a workshop on
sustainable agricultural production and direct marketing.
NWPG Solar Water Pumps- $40,948 - To advance the concept of intensive rotational grazing
using solar powered technology that can provide water to livestock in a remote area.
PA Kinzua Pathways-$7,864-a historical awareness project designed to benefit and educate
