The form, which was completed by the Board of Directors, had 7 evaluation sections under the heading "Advising and Assisting the board of directors," 7 sections under the heading "Managing Operations," 7 sections dealing with "Relations" which included member relations, inter-industry relations, public and government relations and other external relationships. In the past 2 years the same evaluation form was used along with data from the NRECA (National Rural Electric Cooperative Association). The data includes General Manager pay information, cooperative size, and the number of employees. The manager performance summary has six possible ratings. They are: Outstanding, Commendable, Competent, Needs Improvement, Unsatisfactory, and I don't know. There are no other employees besides the General Manager who are evaluated by the board or have their compensation voted on by the board. Staff compensation is determined by the Board of Directors with input from the General Manager. The compensation determination process was last completed in May 2010. | |
