What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE OF THE WEST CARROLL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE IS TO PROMOTE THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL, CIVIC AND GENERAL INTERESTS AND WELFARE OF THE PARISH OF WEST CARROLL AND IT'S TRADE AREA AND VICINITY.
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 SURVEY OF THE MERCHANTS AND BUSINESSES TO INQUIRE OF HOW THE CHAMBER COULD ASSIST THEM IN ATTAINING THEIR GOALS OF ECONOMIC SUCCESS; MONTHLY RECOGNITION OF A BUSINESS BY PRESENTING THEM WITH A PLAQUE AND FREE PUBLICITY IN THE LOCAL PAPER; SPONSORED PERFORMANCES OF CULTURAL ENTERTAINMENT; SEMINARS TO MEMBERS COVERING CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND ALSO BUDGETING AND TAXES; RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONIES FOR ALL NEW BUSINESSES AND DONATIONS TO SUCH CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS AS DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT, JESSE JAMES TRADE DAYS, RODEO FESTIVAL AND THE AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY; A COMMUNITY EVENTS CALENDAR WAS CREATED AND DISTRIBUTED FREE TO ALL MEMBERS AND THOSE WHO PURCHASED ADS.
