Program Service Accomplishments
FORM 990, PART III, LINES 4A-4C:
Program Service Accomplishment A - Center Program: Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center provided one-on-one, educational mentoring and classes, lay-counseling, emotional and spiritual support to 2827 unduplicated clients seen Monday through Thursdays from 9:30am -5:30pm at all three locations, Monday and Thursday evenings from 5:30pm - 9pm at Jupiter Center Locations, Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 9pm at Greenville Ave. Center and bi-weekly on Saturday mornings from 9am - 1pm at our West Dallas Center. (Expenses $487,019). Sessions lasted about one and a half hours each and were supported by 4,329 volunteer hours valued at $52,288. 156 in-kind donations of clothing and material goods were valued at $11,391. The Gospel is often shared in our counseling sessions and volunteers often pray for the clients. We recorded 65 new professions of faith in Christ in 2010. Our objective is to educate women and their partners on fetal development and empower them through our support services to carry their babies to term and either parent them or place them for adoption. In 2010, 92% (1,637) of our pregnant clients choose to carry their unborn children to term. Of the 501 abortion minded and at risk for abortion clients, we know of 365 clients (73%) who chose life for their unborn children. Our educational mentoring program is a 6-12+ week program aimed at moving our clients forward, preparing them for childbirth, parenting and equipping them with new life skills. We had 1415 individual one hour sessions with our educational program in 2010. Of those clients 66 participated in our four-week group prepared childbirth classes to prepare for the upcoming birth of their babies. Clients who participate in education earn in-kind goods for their nurseries and babies. (Expenses $487,019) Clinic Program: Provided limited medical care, 1074 sonograms were performed at our three medical clinics there were 2040 visits to our clinics. 1,194 pregnancy tests were performed by our nurses for Medicaid verification. Hours of operation are: Jupiter Center: Mondays and Thursdays: 10:30am - 9pm and Tuesdays and Wednesdays: 10:30am - 5:30pm, Greenville Ave. Center: Mondays and Wednesdays 10:30am - 5:30pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays 11am - 8pm. West Dallas Center: Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am- 3pm and bi-weekly on Saturdays from 9am - 1pm. Our medical care is oriented to women in unplanned pregnancies who need pregnancy confirmation, due date for delivery or may be considering abortion. The clinic staff and nurse volunteers educate our clients regarding the fetal development of their babies through ultrasound technology as well as personal care during pregnancy. In the clinic nurses will check clients' blood pressure and weight and answer concerns they may have as well as consult on birth control. Our volunteer doctors review and confirm our clients' charts and meet with them regarding pregnancy concerns. Volunteer nurse, sonographer and physician hours amounted to 1,766 and were valued at $55,264. (Expenses $260,057) Public Awareness Program: - educated our community through three events and 40 speaking opportunities/community fairs/ministry tours on our services addressing 11,208 people. Our nurses educated students in science and health classrooms on fetal development. We held a fundraising concert, fundraising dinner and golf tournament all to raise money for and awareness about our organization. The volunteer hours provided were 953 (expenses $95,981). Through our speaking opportunities and special trainings we educated the public at large about our ministry and free services as well as: evangelism; fetal development; abortion; sexually transmitted diseases; and post abortion stress disorder.
