THE FOUNDATION'S WEBSITE WWW.NETHERCUTTFOUNDATION.ORG DETAILS THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION AND CONTAINS DETAILED INFORMATION REGARDING DONATION OPTIONS ONLINE, BY PHONE, AND BY MAIL. THE WEBSITE ALSO DESCRIBES WHAT PLANNED GIVING IS AND OPTIONS FOR PLANNED GIVING TO THE FOUNDATION. LDL WITH THE NETHERCUTT FOUNDATION IS AIRED EVERY THURSDAY AT 12:30 ON KTRW 630AM AND KTAC 93.9 FM. THE COVERAGE OF THIS SHOW REACHES SPOKANE, COLVILLE, SANDPOINT, LEWISTON, WALLA WALLA, AND AS FAR WEST AS MOSES LAKE. THE INTENTION OF THIS PROGRAM IS TO PROVIDE THE PUBLIC WITH ACCESS TO WHAT IS HAPPENING AT THE NETHERCUTT FOUNDATION ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND TO CREATE ATTRACTION OF PUBLIC SUPPORT. SOME TOPICS THAT HAVE BEEN DISCUSSED ON THE SHOW INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO; FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES, HOW TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE NETHERCUTT FOUNDATION, WHO THE BOARD MEMBERS OF THE NETHERCUTT FOUNDATION ARE, THE NEED FOR CIVICS EDUCATION IN AMERICA, WHAT MAKES THIS COUNTRY SO GREAT, CURRENT NATIONAL AND LOCAL EVENTS.SOURCES OF SUPPORT:THE FOUNDATION WAS INCORPORATED IN WASHINGTON ON JUNE 27, 1997 AS S.T.A.R. OF WASHINGTON ASSOCIATION. ON JUNE 13, 2007 THE NAME WAS CHANGED TO THE GEORGE NETHERCUTT FOUNDATION. DURING 2007 IN ORDER TO INITIALLY FUND THE FOUNDATION $224,098 WAS DONATED TO THE FOUNDATION FROM THE NETHERCUTT FOR SENATE 2004 PRIMARY ACCOUNT, WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED FOR A PRIOR YEAR SENATE CAMPAIGN BY GEORGE C. NETHERCUTT. THE PRIMARY SOURCE OF THE CAMPAIGN FUNDS, WHICH ARE REGULATED BY THE FEDERAL ELECTIONS COMMISSION, ARE SEVERAL INDIVIDUALS. SUBSEQUENT TO 2007 THE FOUNDATION HAS HAD A LARGER AND DIVERSE DONOR GROUP. PER THE LIST OF CONTRIBUTORS THERE WERE 50 CONTRIBUTORS IN 2008, 40 IN 2009, AND 28 IN 2010. THIS LIST INCLUDES INDIVIDUALS, BUSINESSES AND OTHER NOT FOR PROFITS.THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE FOR 2008 WAS AN AGGREGATE OF 2004 THRU 2008. PER THE FORM 990-EZ, SCHEDULE A THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE WAS 7.12%, DUE TO THE CONTRIBUTION FROM THE NETHERCUTT FOR SENATE 2004 PRIMARY ACCOUNT IN 2007, WHICH SKEWED THE PERCENTAGE. IF THE SCHEDULE A HAD BEEN PREPARED WITHOUT THE $224,098 CONTRIBUTION IN 2007, THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE WOULD HAVE BEEN 48.88%.THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE FOR 2009 IS AN AGGREGATE OF 2005 THRU 2009. PER THE FORM 990-EZ, SCHEDULE A THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE WAS 13.53%, DUE TO THE CONTRIBUTION FROM THE NETHERCUTT FOR SENATE 2004 PRIMARY ACCOUNT IN 2007, THE PERCENTAGE IS AGAIN SKEWED. IF THE SCHEDULE A HAD BEEN PREPARED WITHOUT THE $224,098 CONTRIBUTION IN 2007, THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE WOULD HAVE BEEN 45.82%.THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE FOR 2010 IS AN AGGREGATE OF 2006 THRU 2010. PER THE FORM 990-EZ, SCHEDULE A THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE WAS 15.92%, DUE TO THE CONTRIBUTION FROM THE NETHERCUTT FOR SENATE 2004 PRIMARY ACCOUNT IN 2007, THE PERCENTAGE IS AGAIN SKEWED. IF THE SCHEDULE A HAD BEEN PREPARED WITHOUT THE $224,098 CONTRIBUTION IN 2007, THE PUBLIC SUPPORT PERCENTAGE WOULD HAVE BEEN 32.5%.SUBSEQUENT TO THE INITIAL FUNDING THE FOUNDATION NORMALLY RECEIVED A SUBSTANTIAL PART OF ITS SUPPORT FROM CONTRIBUTIONS MADE DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND IS CONTINUING TO SOLICIT CONTRIBUTIONS FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC.PUBLIC NATURE OF THE FOUNDATION'S GOVERNING BOARD:THE FOUNDATION'S BOARD INCLUDES PROFESSIONALS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS WITH EXPERTISE IN DIFFERENT DISCIPLINES FROM THE COMMUNITY.
