    Client Note 1 - The Cultural Advocacy Coalition lobbies on behalf of other exempt organizations involved with the arts. The Coalition's membership primarily consists of cultural organizations such as museums, theatres and other entities which promote cultural activities and preserve works of art and historic artifacts. Most of the membership dues are collected from 501(C)(3) organizations.The state of Oregon has a cultural tax credit available to taxpayers. Part of the lobbying activities of the Coalition is to insure that the credit remains in place in Oregon tax law. Additional lobbying activities of the organization are primarily to encourage the use of tax dollars to provide more public access to cultural activities and to preserve local history.Outside Services KLM Consulting, owned by Kristina McNitt, provided organization management and lobbying services for the Cultural Advocacy Coalition in 2010. The Coalition paid $26,380 for services provided. KLM Consulting Company provides lobbying and consulting services to several other businesses and nonprofit organizations.
