Volunteers - A total of 321 persons logged more than 5,435 service hours to the organization in the following capacities: Intern Program-14 candidates for Masters of Social Work (MSW) , Masters in counseling for licensing in marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), and Field Placement students logged 1842 service hours (valued at $26,388). The volunteers, supervised by a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW), taught classes and provided individual and group counseling to moms and children in the transitional shelter program. Place Based Initiative-Volunteer professionals gave services valued at $920 to the East Street Community Renewal Initiative (ESCRI) program, teaching budgeting and money management to area families. Volunteers logged 435 service hours assisting the ESCRI program; volunteers filed, cleaned, helped with classes, and provided program support. Outreach, job training, referral services, general program-- Volunteers logged 1358 service hours assisting with organization and supervision of special events for current and past moms and children, including the annual Christmas event for more than 400 moms and children, shelter outings, maintenance and vehicle repairs. Professional services valued at $3,251 and donated rent of $10,575 benefitted the program. Fundraising-Volunteers logged 984 hours of assistance to fundraising events. Professional services valued at $13,985 enhanced the success of the events. An additional 608 volunteer service hours were documented by board member volunteers and others to administrative functions of the organization. Professionals donated in excess of 209 service hours for repairs, IT troubleshooting, and general support. At year end, $24,000 rent was pledged to the organization for its next operating year. Value of donated professional services and rent is not included in Form 990 revenue per IRS. The organization continues to benefit by the generosity of the community through gifts of time, talent, services, and materials.

The Board of Directors reviews the audited financial reports used to provide the data for the Form 990. The Form 990s are distributed to a Board committee to review prior to submission.
