What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE EDUCATION EQUALITY PROJECT ACTION FUND WAS FORMED TO OPERATE EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE PROMOTION OF SOCIAL WELFARE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, RAISING AWARENESS OF THE NEED TO CLOSE THE NATIONWIDE RACIAL AND ETHNIC EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT GAP, ENGAGING IN ADVOCACY IN THE FURTHERANCE OF CLOSING THE NATIONWIDE RACIAL AND ETHNIC EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENT GAP, RAISING THE STANDARD OF EDUCATION FOR STUDENTS OF ALL RACES AND ETHNICITIES, AND PROMOTING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS IN NEED.

Dissolution   The Education Equality Project Action Fund's (EEPAF) Board of Directors met via conference call on October 17th and approved a resolution to wrap up its operations and transfer its remaining assets to another organization (a 501 (C) 4) whose mission and activities are well aligned with EEPAF's. Both organization's work to close the achievement gap in U.S. public education. EEPAF and personnel from the other organization are in the process of finalizing this agreement, and EPPAF expects to wrap up its operations and formally dissolve shortly. Regarding EEPAFs outstanding loan obligation to the Education Equality Project (which is the C3 sister organization to EEPAF), the organization EEPAF is transferring its assets to has agreed to loan the funds necessary for EEPAF to repay its outstanding loan obligation to EEP.
