Facts And Circumstances Test
Facts and Circumstances Test - Ordway is a performing arts center that owns its own facility and serves the community with performing arts through programs; American Musicals, World Music and Dance and other educational programs as well as hosting three resident companies; The Minnesota Opera, The Schubert Club and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra. The revenue from these activities is not sufficient to cover the expenses of the programs. It is through the support from the philanthropic community and the ticket sales that the expenses for the relating activities are covered. Due to the volume of this activity, the contributed revenue percentage is less than 33 1/3 percent when compared to the total revenue. All activity reported for Ordway is within its non-profit purpose and mission. The only reason the calculated percentage for Schedule A testing shows less than 33 1/3 is due to the reasons listed above.
Explanation
Other Income - Includes revenue received from ticket sales, rental revenue and hospitality services. All of which are considered program revenue for Ordway Center for the Performing Arts.
