OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 4: During the 2010-2011 school year, the organization's staff enabled 10,600 middle and high school students to attend monthly goal-setting workshops led by our facilitators; conducted 3,510 goal-setting workshops with 10 professional facilitators in 15 Twin Cities schools, encouraging and inspiring students to imagine their futures and make conscious decisions based on their discoveries; provided students and their families with complementary play tickets donated by 32 Twin Cities area theaters; provided the opportunity for 19,183 students and family members to attend 181 evening and weekend performances at professional Twin Cities theaters; worked one-on-one with 250 students in 110 after-school workshops, helping them make plans and decisions about their direction after high school; took 2,957 students on 23 daytime field trips to area theaters - students representing every school went on a field trip; assisted 533 students in their college selection process, including organizing 39 tours of colleges and universities in Minnesota, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin; took 127 middle school students from eight schools on one of three week-long adventures in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in June 2011 (29 of whom were Saint Paul students); produced full-scale musical performances in three different middle schools starring over 200 students, and helped 820 8th graders successfully transition into high school through "2014", our third-annual four-day summer event for Minneapolis Public Schools in August 2010.New and Different Activities in the last 12 months:Project SUCCESS continues to expand programming; we officially partnered with Edison High School and began serving all students in grades 9 and 10 in September 2011; expanded services to 11th grade students at Washington Technology Magnet in Saint Paul at the request of Principal Mike McCollor, continuing our relationships with students we have served in 7 - 10 grades; and offered a special college tour to Gallaudet University in Washington D.C. for 5 Deaf/Hard of Hearing students.Founded in 1994, serving 200 students at North High School in Minneapolis, Project SUCCESS has grown to serve over 11,600 students in Minneapolis and Saint Paul annually. Over our 19 year history we have worked with nearly 100,000 students in the two districts.
