What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO ENCOURAGE, EXTEND AND PROMOTE THE OBJECT OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL AND TO MAINTAIN THE RELATIONS OF A MEMBER CLUB IN ROTARY INTERNATIONAL.
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 CONTRIBUTIONS TO VANCOUVER ROTARY FOUNDATION, A §501(C)(3) ORGANIZATION. THESE ARE VOLUNTARY CONTRIBUTIONS MADE MAINLY BY CLUB MEMBERS, PRINCIPALLY AT THE CLUB'S WEEKLY MEETINGS. THE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE COLLECTED AT EACH MEETING AND AFTER THE MEETING IS ADJOURNED, DEPOSITED DIRECTLY INTO THE FOUNDATION'S BANK ACCOUNT. THE TRANSFER TO THE FOUNDATION'S ACCOUNT IS NOT DISCRETIONARY, I.E., MEMBERS HAVE TO APPRISED THAT THERE CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE GIVEN DIRECTLY TO THE FOUNDATION. ACCORDINGLY, THE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE REPORTED AS A PROGRAM-SERVICE EXPENSES BY THE CLUB. SINCE THE CONTRIBUTIONS ARE BY MEMBERS DIRECTLY TO THE FOUNDATION, THEY ARE NOT REPORTED AS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE CLUB ON LINE 1 OF PART I.
