The Fund is also audited by an independant accounting firm for appropriate disbursements.

The Sponsor (Shands Teaching Hospital and Clinics, Inc.) will assume responsibility for any unpaid claims and claims incurred but not reported (IBNR) henceforth. The Plan will remain in existence; however, as of June 30, 2011, the Plan has no benefit obligations and no net assets available for benefits.
