THE COMMUNITY PROGRAMS CONSIST OF HOME VISITING PROGRAMS IN YONKERS. 1) HEALTHY FAMILIES NEW YORK (HFNY) WORKS WITH NEW PARENTS ASSESSED TO BE AT RISK FOR CHILD ABUSE AND PROVIDES PARENT EDUCATION AND SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES TO GIVE THEM A GOOD START IN LIFE. HFNY SERVED 99 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES LAST YEAR. 2) THERAPEUTIC AND PARENT AIDE SERVICES (TAPAS) IS A MANDATED PREVENTIVE SERVICE AND PROVIDES SUPPORT TO FAMILIES WHO HAVE BEEN THE SUBJECT OF CHILD ABUSE ALLEGATIONS AND SEEKS TO KEEP FAMILIES TOGETHER AND PROMOTE SAFETY. TAPAS SERVED 185 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES LAST YEAR. 3) EASTCHESTER CHILD DEVELOPEMENT CENTER (ECDC) IS A CHILD CARE CENTER SERVING UP TO 44 CHILDREN A DAY AND PROVIDING A SAFE AND STIMULATING LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR PRE-SCHOOL CHILDREN. ECDC SERVED 490 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES LAST YEAR. ECDC SERVED 59 CHILDREN LAST YEAR. 4) EASTCHESTER AFTER SCHOOL YOUTH (EASY) IN AN AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM LOCATED IN THE EASTCHESTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND PROVIDES A SAFE AND STIMULATING PLACE FOR CHILDREN TO SPEND THEIR AFTER SCHOOL HOURS. EASY SERVED 81 CHILDREN LAST YEAR. 5) EASTCHESTER MIDDLE SCHOOL (EMS) PROVIDES SCHOOL COUNSELING AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE PREVENTION PROGRAMS TO MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES EASTCHESTER. EMS SERVED 490 CHILDREN AND FAMILIES LAST YEAR. EACH PROGRAM IS GROUNDED IN THE PRINCIPLES THAT QUALITY CARE REQUIRES COLLABORATION AMONG ALL THE RELEVANT STAKEHOLDERS. THUS, EACH PROGRAM DRAWS ON THE INPUT AND RESOURCES OF FAMILY MEMBERS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS, AS WELL AS ON SUPPORT FROM PRIVATE AND PUBLIC FUNDERS. 914 CHILDREN WERE SERVED. EXPENSES: $1,752,458. REVENUE: $1,600,072.

THE ORGANIZATION WAS FOUNDED BY A PRIVATE PHILANTHROPIST, JOHN EMORY ANDRUS, IN 1928. IT IS GOVERNED BY A BOARD OF DIRECTORS WHO SERVE WITHOUT COMPENSATION. IT HAS BEEN A TRADITION OF THE ORGANIZATION TO INVITE MEMBERS OF THE EXTENDED ANDRUS FAMILY TO SERVE AS DIRECTORS ALONGSIDE OF OTHER NON-RELATED DIRECTORS WHO FORM THE MAJORITY AND REPRESENT OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY. IN THEIR CAPACITY AS DIRECTORS, AS IS THE CASE FOR ALL OF OUR DIRECTORS, MEMBERS OF THE ANDRUS FAMILY SERVE AS VOLUNTEERS AND ARE NOT COMPENSATED. DIRECTORS' TERMS ARE FOR TWO YEARS AND ARE RENEWABLE. THE CURRENT DIRECTORS WHO ARE RELATED TO THE FOUNDER ARE: LAWRENCE S. C. IN JUNE 2010, BASED ON POSITIVE YEAR-END FINANCIAL RESULTS, ALL STAFF, INCLUDING EXECUTIVES AND ADMINISTRATORS EMPLOYED DURING THE FISCAL YEAR 2009-10 WERE GIVEN A 3% OF SALARY PAY SUPPLEMENT WITH NO INCREASE OR CHANGE TO BASE PAY. ONLY WHEN ONE OF THE ABOVE REFERENCED POSITIONS IS VACATED DOES THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE BOARD SECURE COMPARATIVE NOT FOR PROFIT EXECUTIVE INFORMATION INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING LOCAL, STATEWIDE AND NATIONAL SOURCES IN ORDER TO FILL THESE POSITIONS. 1. COMPARATIVE DATA PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION'S AUDITORS OF TOTAL COMPENSATION PACKAGES OFFERED TO CEO'S OF SIMILAR EMPLOYERS WITHIN THE NEW YORK METRO AREA. 2. COMPARATIVE DATA PROVIDED BY THE ORGANIZATION'S STATE WIDE PROVIDER ASSOCIATION (THE COUNCIL OF FAMILY AND CHILD CARING ORGANIZATIONS). 3.
