What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Altrusa International is an association of professional women and men who volunteer their energies and expertise in projects dedicated to community betterment. Its purpose is to contribute to the solution of community problems and to help meet community needs while making lasting friendships.
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 During the fiscal year ended May 31, 2011, members hosted the annual conference of District Nine of Altrusa International. District Nine encompasses the state of Texas, and all local Altrusa clubs within the state were invited to participate in the conference. The conference included presentations from nationally prominent speakers involved in women's issues, as well as leadership training and other development topics related to issues of interest to Altrusa Clubs within District Nine.
