What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? To advocate for, educate, and connect leaders in the building industry. SMPS Seattle Chapter offers members professional development, leadership opportunities, and marketing resources to advance their careers.
Describe what was achieved in carrying out the organization's exempt purposes. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The SMPS Seattle Chapter offers members professional development, leadership opportunities and marketing resources to advance their careers. During our 2010-2011 year, the Chapter put on 11 high-level, strategic programs; 5 hands-on, technical education seminars; multiple networking events; and various outreach programs. We also provided members with "roundtables" to facilitate peer to peer interaction, a study group to prepare for the CPSM (Certified Professional Services Marketer) certification exam and opportunities for leadership development by serving on the Board of Directors or committees.
