What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO EDUCATE PET OWNERS ABOUT SPECIALTY VETERINARY MEDICINE AND PROMOTE THE BENEFITS OF REFERRAL TO GENERAL PRACTITIONERS. THE VETERINARY SPECIALTY PRACTICE ALLIANCE (VSPA), ESTABLISHED IN 1999, IS A NOT-FOR-PROFIT ASSOCIATION REPRESENTING APPROXIMATELY 20 VETERINARY SPECIALTY CLINICS WORKING IN PRIVATE PRACTICE THROUGHOUT THE UNITED STATES. MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES OWNERS, ADMINISTRATORS AND DOCTORS OF THESE FACILITIES. THE VSPA IS A COLLECTIVE VOICE FOR ISSUES RELATED TO SPECIALTY VETERINARY MEDICINE THAT INCLUDES THE SHARING OF BEST PRACTICES RELATED TO HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT AND PATIENT CARE.
