    3 & 7 THE ASSETS OF THE TRUST FUND ARE USED DIRECTLY FOR CARRYING OUT THE EXEMPT PURPOSES OF THE ORGANIZATION. THE ASSETS CONSIST OF A TIME CERTIFICATE OF DEPOSIT AND A NOW SAVINGS ACCOUNT, WHICH PROVIDE INTEREST INCOME. THESE ARE THE ONLY ASSETS OF THE FUND AND ARE THE ONLY SOURCE OF INCOME WHICH MAKES THE GRANTING OF SCHOLARSHIPS POSSIBLE.Explanation of termination of trust: Pursuant to court order in the Iowa District Court of Grundy County, Iowa, the trust was terminated and the assets transferred to the Dollars For Scholars - Gladbrook-Reinbeck which is a qualified charity under 501C3. As stated in the Petition for Termination, the trust is too small to be operated in an economically feasible manner. The income from the funds will now benefit the students as intended by the donors.
