What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? EVCSFB serves anyone in need regardless of where they reside. Through community partners we address hunger, poverty, health, and quality of life by providing free food, clothing, nutritional and awareness education, disaster/emergency relief, outreach, direct services, basic human needs and links to other programs to empower people in need to become self-sufficient.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Entiat Valley Food Bank: Provides low-income, homeless & working poor USDA (EFAP) & (TEFAP) Federal Commodities. Received lbs of food and 6592lbs of food from Northwest Harvest; distributed 59,930 net lbs (5 day supply) to 3405 needy people. Volunteers deliver food to 30 - 85 homebound recipients in our various programs. Collected estimated 10498 lbs of food donated by numerous individuals and businesses. Gained 821 needy people in 2011. The 'Share A Row' Program provided 2198 lbs of donated fresh produce from local gardeners, 1108 disadvantaged households received fresh produce. Distributed food in various other programs: (1) Spirit of Giving ' Adopt-A Program' Xmas Boxes provided 62 needy clients 526 lbs of food. (2) Rusty Bucket Brigade emergency/disaster Program provided 4 families in crisis #400 lbs of food. (3) BREAD program provided 963 elderly in need supplemental boxes #4815 lbs of food. (5) KnaPaks week end meals for needy children provided 376+ youth #5180 lbs. (6) Summer Meals for Kids fed 69 youth #207 lbs of food. The food valuation of $1.50 per pound is based on the valuations prepared by Chelan Douglas Community Action Council our lead agency and CTED - Community Trade and Economics Department the funding agency for USDA. Revenue sources for this program include grants, government contracts, numerous individuals and businesses, in addition to donated products and food.

29 Youth Outreach Services and Programs: Provided 924 needy children ages 0 - 18 and estimated 1230 lbs of non food products and materials donated from numerous individuals, businesses and organizations. We gained 188 needy children in 2011. The Youth Outreach Services and Programs include: (1) Ready To Learn School Tools and school clothing providing 79lbs of school supplies to 70 children. (2) Toys For Needy Kids Xmas Program provided 46 needy children with an estimated 218 lbs of holiday gifts. (3) Youth are provided free programs and events open to all children, 2011 provided 2085 under priviledged, at-risk and disabled children, gifts, supplies, skills, education, Meals, lessons and guidance. Revenue sources for all programs include numerous individuals, organizations and businesses. Volunteers increased 35% involved in these programs.

30 Senior/Disabled Outreach Services & Direct Programs: Provided 1705 disadvantaged elderly and disabled seniors an estimated 651 lbs of non food product donated from numerous individuals, businesses and organizations. We gained 95 needy seniors in 2011. The Senior/Disabled Outreach Services and Programs include: (1) FIRES Program provided an estimated 6 1/2 cords of donated wood FMV $720 to 4 homebound elderly that use wood for cooking and heating. (2) SHARE Program provided 6 homebound elderly and disabled with free minor home repair, snowplowing and yard cleaning. (3) Senior Assistance Program provided basic human needs to 35 elderly and disabled. (4) Healthy Lifestyles Program provided 4 elderly who have medical issues with medical supplies. (5) REACH provided 79 homebound elderly friendly phone calls to check on their welfare. (6) Adopt A Senior Program provided 30 needy seniors and estimated 241 lbs of clothing and 240 lbs of food in Xmas Baskets. (7) Social Outreach programs provided 351 needy homebound elderly and disabled who cannot afford due to lack of income or no transportation a means to enjoy free healthy indoor/outdoor activities, designed to enable frail elderly to live in their own homes by keeping them physically fit, promoting nutrition, education, self-independence, social contact to maintain mental acuity, assistance, healthy life-styles in a safe environment. 1352 seniors attend SAIL fitness classes promoting fitness/wellness, engages seniors and disabled, keeps them physically and socially active, extends quality of life by enjoyment of healthy outdoor activity fun; 29 seniors attended 'Srs R Grand' Health and Wellness Fair, providing health, nutrition awareness, legal/financial education, screenings and personal assistance through numerous area service providers. TRIPS Project in 2011 provided free transportation to 6 rural needy homebound elderly and disabled for medical appointments. Revenue for the Senior/Disabled Outreach Services and Direct Programs sources include numerous individuals, businesses and organizations.

Family Outreach Services and Direct Programs serves households with free clothing, food boxes, household items, nutrition and skills classes, disaster assistance, meals, direct services and programs. Our Family Outreach Services and Direct Programs include: A grant throught Building Changes supported Employment Options Program that provided 6 adults employment skills, training, job seardh, resume' writing. All 6 clients are gainfully employed. Adopt - A Xmas Program provided 32 families with Xmas gifts and food baskets. Family Assistance provided 4 families with household items and human basic needs. Non food product is provided to needy clients and donated from numerous individuals, businesses and organizations. We gained 237 new households in 2010. Revenue sources for this program include numerous individuals, businesses and organizations.

Clothes Closet Program provides access to clothing for needy children, adults and elderly throughout the year. About people received free clothing through various programs the Clothes Closet provides: Ready To Learn provided 52 children with school clothing; Snug As A Bug provided children with winter clothing; Hat Project provided 299 children with knitted hats; Career Closet provided 2 adults with business attires; and 48 families were provided miscellaneous clothing through the year. An estimated 1151 lbs of donated clothing collected from numerous individuals, businesses and organizations, was distributed throughout the year at an estimated value $1727.00 based at FMV $1.50 per pound. Revenue resources for this program include numerous individuals, businesses and organizations.
