What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CCDA ARE AS FOLLOWS: 1) TO PROMOTE THE SPORT OF DARTS THROUGH FUN AND FAIR PLAY FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS. 2) TO ESTABLISH AND MAINTAIN FRIENDLY COMPETITIVE RELATIONS WITH SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS INVOLVED IN THE SPORT OF DARTS.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONAL INFORMATION CHARLOTTE COUNTY DART ASSOCIATION: STEEL TIP DART LEAGUES JANUARY 2011 -- DECEMBER 2011. THREE DART LEAGUES TOTALING 80 PLAYERS. THIS ACTIVITY'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE STEEL TIP (ENGLISH DARTS) COMPETITION TO THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FLORIDA AREA IN A REGIMENTED LEAGUE FORMAT. THESE 3 LEAGUES HAVE RULES AND REGULATION GUIDELINES SET FORTH BY THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY DART ASSOCIATION(CCDA), OUR GOVERNING BODY THE FLORIDA DART ASSOCIATION (FDA) AND THE AMERICAN DARTS ORGANIZATION (ADO). DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS FOR EACH LEAGUE WILL DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF WEEKS REQUIRED FOR THAT PARTICULAR ACTIVITY. THE 2011 SEASON(S) HAD A TOTAL NUMBER OF 80 PARTICIPANTS SPANNING A TOTAL OF EIGHT MONTHS CONSISTING OF A TOTAL OF THREE SEPARATE LEAGUES. THE PERCENTAGE OF TIME FOR THESE LEAGUE BASED ACTIVITIES IN REFERENCE TO RELATIVE TIME AND OTHER RESOURCES IS 70%. THESE CCDA LEAGUES ACT AS A GRASS ROOT ENDEAVOR WHICH OFFERS MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO THOSE WHO WISH TO GO ON TO THE REGIONAL, STATE, NATIONWIDE, AND WORLD LEVELS. EACH LEAGUE HAS A DIFFERENT FORMAT AND ROSTERED PLAYERS TO REACH OUT TO VARIOUS SKILL LEVELS AND GENDER. THIS CREATES AN ENVIRONMENT TO ENCOURAGE ALL WALKS OF LIFE. WITHOUT THESE LEAGUES AS A BASE OTHER ACTIVITIES WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE...THESE ARE THE"ENABLERS" FOR THE PARTICIPANTS. LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES BLANKET MEMBERSHIP IN ALL THREE ENTITIES...THE CCDA, FDA AND THE ADO. AT THE COMPLETION OF EACH LEAGUE SEASON A BANQUET IS HELD. DURING THIS TIME ROUGHLY 80% OF MEMBERS' INITIAL FEES ARE DIRECTLY RE-DISTRIBUTED IN THE FORM OF PLAQUES, TROPHIES, PINS, FOOD AND DRINK. AS OF THIS TIME THESE ACTIVITIES ARE CARRIED OUT PRESENTLY BY THE CCDA BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT 408 N. TAMIAMI TRAIL, PUNTA GORDA, FLORIDA IN THE ICEHOUSE PUB. AS FOR PRESENT LEAGUE ACTIVITY, THE CCDA HAS TWO LEAGUES UNDER WAY WITH A TOTAL OF 60 PLAYERS AT PRESENT. THE COMPLETION OF THESE LEAGUES IS SLATED FOR JANUARY 2013 WITH TWO MORE LEAGUES OF THE SAME VENUE COMMENCING IN JANUARY 2013, WITH AN INCREASE OF 10% EXPECTED. FDA/ADO SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS: THIS IS AN ACTIVITY THAT BRINGS STATE AND NATIONWIDE PLAYERS TO CHARLOTTE COUNTY. THE EVENT WAS HELD ON MAY 11TH, 12TH, 13TH. THIS VENUE BRINGS A DIFFERENT FORMAT BEYOND LEAGUE PLAY TO OUR MEMBERS IF THEY SO DESIRE TO PURSUE. POINTS ARE AWARDED TO INDIVIDUALS FROM EACH PARTICULAR SANCTIONED EVENT IN REGARDS TO A NUMBER OF VARIABLES (PURSE SIZE, ENTRIES ETC). THESE POINTS ARE THEN ACCUMULATED IN THE REGIONAL, STATE AND NATIONAL RANKINGS. WHAT THIS TOURNAMENT DOES IS PROVIDE LOCAL PLAYERS A TOURNAMENT IN THEIR OWN BACKYARD AND OTHER NEARBY COUNTY DART PLAYERS TO COMPETE. OF COURSE THERE ARE CASH PAYOUTS THAT COME ALONG WITH POINT EARNINGS. THIS 2ND ANNUAL CCDA SHOOT OUT HAD A TOTAL GUARANTEED PURSE OF 3,000 COVERING 12 DIFFERENT EVENTS. IN 2012, ONE TOURNAMENT IS SLATED AT THE ICEHOUSE PUB WHICH WILL BE RUN BY THE CCDA OFFICERS AND MEMBERS. STATE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: THIS ACTIVITY HAPPENS ONCE A YEAR AND IS RUN BY THE FDA. THE PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT IS TO BRING THE WHOLE STATE OF FLORIDA UNDER ONE ROOF TO SEE WHICH COUNTY HAS THE BEST CALIBER OF ENGLISH DART SHOOTERS. EACH COUNTY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR APPOINTING AND SENDING THEIR TEAM WHICH IS COMPRISED OF 7 MALES AND 4 FEMALES. THE CCDA PROVIDES THE STATE TEAM WITH SOME FUNDING TO NOT BURDEN THE FULL EXPENSE UPON OUR MEMBERS. THE CCDA PAYS FOR HOTEL EXPENSES, ENTRY FEES AND SHIRTS SO OUR LOCAL PLAYERS CAN EXPERIENCE THEIR TALENTS OF PLAY TO OTHERS OUTSIDE THEIR OWN ARENA. THIS YEAR'S COMPETITION WAS HELD IN ORLANDO ON THE THIRD WEEK IN OCTOBER. TRYOUTS FOR THIS TEAM WERE HELD ON FOR MARCH 5, 2011. THIS IS A YEARLY EVENT WHICH THE CCDA PLANS ON PARTICIPATING IN FOR YEARS TO COME. TO MAKE THE STATE TEAM IS SOMETHING OF AN HONOR IN THE DART WORLD AND WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR MEMBERS. BLIND DRAWS: THIS IS AN ACTIVITY BY THE CCDA TO IMPLEMENT NEWER PLAYERS WHO MIGHT BE ON THE FENCE FOR LEAGUE PLAY AND FOR ALREADY ESTABLISHED PLAYERS TO COMPETE. THE FORMAT IS DIFFERENT IN THAT UPON SIGN UP ONE DOES NOT KNOW WHOM THEIR PLAYING PARTNER WILL BE...HENCE "BLIND DRAW." AFTER PARTNERS ARE PAIRED A DOUBLE ELIMINATION EVENT IS SET UP WITH 100% PAYOUT. THIS EVENT GIVES ANYONE A FAIR CHANCE TO COMMPETE NOT KNOWING WHAT CALIBER OF PLAYERS WILL BE PAIRED. THIS GIVES THE NOVICE A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE THE WORLD OF ENGLISH DARTS BEFORE JUMPING INTO A LEAGUE. THESE EVENTS ARE SPORADIC AND ARE HELD ON DIFFERENT DAYS. WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING THIS ACTIVITY ON A WEEKLY BASIS ON SATURDAY EVENINGS. THE AVERAGE TURNOUT IS APPROXIMATELY 10 -18 PEOPLE PER EVENT. SUMMARY: THE CCDA OFFERS ANYONE WITH THE INTEREST OF ENGLISH DARTS TO PARTICIPATE AT THEIR COMFORT LEVEL BY THE MANY DIFFERENT VENUES THE CCDA HAS TO OFFER. THE BOARD IS MADE OF VETERAN DART PLAYERS WHOM HAVE PARTICPATED THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY AT DIFFERENT LEVELS. MONIES RECEIVED FROM MEMBERS ARE DISPERSED WITH INTENTIONS TO HELP PROMOTE THE SPORT OF ENGLISH DARTS. THE CCDA UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF GRASS ROOT ENTRY PLAYERS IN THEIR ORGANIZATION AND PROVIDE A STRUCTURED ENVIRONMENT TO LET THEM EXPAND THEIR DART HORIZON AS THEY KNOW IT.

FIRST ACCOMPLISHMENT FORM 990-EZ, PART III, LINE 28 ACTIVITIES AND OPERATIONAL INFORMATION CHARLOTTE COUNTY DART ASSOCIATION: STEEL TIP DART LEAGUES JANUARY 2011 -- DECEMBER 2011. THREE DART LEAGUES TOTALING 80 PLAYERS. THIS ACTIVITY'S PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE STEEL TIP (ENGLISH DARTS) COMPETITION TO THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY, FLORIDA AREA IN A REGIMENTED LEAGUE FORMAT. THESE 3 LEAGUES HAVE RULES AND REGULATION GUIDELINES SET FORTH BY THE CHARLOTTE COUNTY DART ASSOCIATION(CCDA), OUR GOVERNING BODY THE FLORIDA DART ASSOCIATION (FDA) AND THE AMERICAN DARTS ORGANIZATION (ADO). DEPENDING ON THE NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS FOR EACH LEAGUE WILL DETERMINE THE NUMBER OF WEEKS REQUIRED FOR THAT PARTICULAR ACTIVITY. THE 2011 SEASON(S) HAD A TOTAL NUMBER OF 80 PARTICIPANTS SPANNING A TOTAL OF EIGHT MONTHS CONSISTING OF A TOTAL OF THREE SEPARATE LEAGUES. THE PERCENTAGE OF TIME FOR THESE LEAGUE BASED ACTIVITIES IN REFERENCE TO RELATIVE TIME AND OTHER RESOURCES IS 70%. THESE CCDA LEAGUES ACT AS A GRASS ROOT ENDEAVOR WHICH OFFERS MORE OPPORTUNITIES TO THOSE WHO WISH TO GO ON TO THE REGIONAL, STATE, NATIONWIDE, AND WORLD LEVELS. EACH LEAGUE HAS A DIFFERENT FORMAT AND ROSTERED PLAYERS TO REACH OUT TO VARIOUS SKILL LEVELS AND GENDER. THIS CREATES AN ENVIRONMENT TO ENCOURAGE ALL WALKS OF LIFE. WITHOUT THESE LEAGUES AS A BASE OTHER ACTIVITIES WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE...THESE ARE THE"ENABLERS" FOR THE PARTICIPANTS. LEAGUE MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES BLANKET MEMBERSHIP IN ALL THREE ENTITIES...THE CCDA, FDA AND THE ADO. AT THE COMPLETION OF EACH LEAGUE SEASON A BANQUET IS HELD. DURING THIS TIME ROUGHLY 80% OF MEMBERS' INITIAL FEES ARE DIRECTLY RE-DISTRIBUTED IN THE FORM OF PLAQUES, TROPHIES, PINS, FOOD AND DRINK. AS OF THIS TIME THESE ACTIVITIES ARE CARRIED OUT PRESENTLY BY THE CCDA BOARD OF DIRECTORS AT 408 N. TAMIAMI TRAIL, PUNTA GORDA, FLORIDA IN THE ICEHOUSE PUB. AS FOR PRESENT LEAGUE ACTIVITY, THE CCDA HAS TWO LEAGUES UNDER WAY WITH A TOTAL OF 60 PLAYERS AT PRESENT. THE COMPLETION OF THESE LEAGUES IS SLATED FOR JANUARY 2013 WITH TWO MORE LEAGUES OF THE SAME VENUE COMMENCING IN JANUARY 2013, WITH AN INCREASE OF 10% EXPECTED. FDA/ADO SANCTIONED TOURNAMENTS: THIS IS AN ACTIVITY THAT BRINGS STATE AND NATIONWIDE PLAYERS TO CHARLOTTE COUNTY. THE EVENT WAS HELD ON MAY 11TH, 12TH, 13TH. THIS VENUE BRINGS A DIFFERENT FORMAT BEYOND LEAGUE PLAY TO OUR MEMBERS IF THEY SO DESIRE TO PURSUE. POINTS ARE AWARDED TO INDIVIDUALS FROM EACH PARTICULAR SANCTIONED EVENT IN REGARDS TO A NUMBER OF VARIABLES (PURSE SIZE, ENTRIES ETC). THESE POINTS ARE THEN ACCUMULATED IN THE REGIONAL, STATE AND NATIONAL RANKINGS. WHAT THIS TOURNAMENT DOES IS PROVIDE LOCAL PLAYERS A TOURNAMENT IN THEIR OWN BACKYARD AND OTHER NEARBY COUNTY DART PLAYERS TO COMPETE. OF COURSE THERE ARE CASH PAYOUTS THAT COME ALONG WITH POINT EARNINGS. THIS 2ND ANNUAL CCDA SHOOT OUT HAD A TOTAL GUARANTEED PURSE OF 3,000 COVERING 12 DIFFERENT EVENTS. IN 2012, ONE TOURNAMENT IS SLATED AT THE ICEHOUSE PUB WHICH WILL BE RUN BY THE CCDA OFFICERS AND MEMBERS. STATE TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: THIS ACTIVITY HAPPENS ONCE A YEAR AND IS RUN BY THE FDA. THE PURPOSE OF THIS EVENT IS TO BRING THE WHOLE STATE OF FLORIDA UNDER ONE ROOF TO SEE WHICH COUNTY HAS THE BEST CALIBER OF ENGLISH DART SHOOTERS. EACH COUNTY IS RESPONSIBLE FOR APPOINTING AND SENDING THEIR TEAM WHICH IS COMPRISED OF 7 MALES AND 4 FEMALES. THE CCDA PROVIDES THE STATE TEAM WITH SOME FUNDING TO NOT BURDEN THE FULL EXPENSE UPON OUR MEMBERS. THE CCDA PAYS FOR HOTEL EXPENSES, ENTRY FEES AND SHIRTS SO OUR LOCAL PLAYERS CAN EXPERIENCE THEIR TALENTS OF PLAY TO OTHERS OUTSIDE THEIR OWN ARENA. THIS YEAR'S COMPETITION WAS HELD IN ORLANDO ON THE THIRD WEEK IN OCTOBER. TRYOUTS FOR THIS TEAM WERE HELD ON FOR MARCH 5, 2011. THIS IS A YEARLY EVENT WHICH THE CCDA PLANS ON PARTICIPATING IN FOR YEARS TO COME. TO MAKE THE STATE TEAM IS SOMETHING OF AN HONOR IN THE DART WORLD AND WE WOULD LIKE TO CONTINUE THIS OPPORTUNITY FOR OUR MEMBERS. BLIND DRAWS: THIS IS AN ACTIVITY BY THE CCDA TO IMPLEMENT NEWER PLAYERS WHO MIGHT BE ON THE FENCE FOR LEAGUE PLAY AND FOR ALREADY ESTABLISHED PLAYERS TO COMPETE. THE FORMAT IS DIFFERENT IN THAT UPON SIGN UP ONE DOES NOT KNOW WHOM THEIR PLAYING PARTNER WILL BE...HENCE "BLIND DRAW." AFTER PARTNERS ARE PAIRED A DOUBLE ELIMINATION EVENT IS SET UP WITH 100% PAYOUT. THIS EVENT GIVES ANYONE A FAIR CHANCE TO COMMPETE NOT KNOWING WHAT CALIBER OF PLAYERS WILL BE PAIRED. THIS GIVES THE NOVICE A CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE THE WORLD OF ENGLISH DARTS BEFORE JUMPING INTO A LEAGUE. THESE EVENTS ARE SPORADIC AND ARE HELD ON DIFFERENT DAYS. WE ARE CURRENTLY RUNNING THIS ACTIVITY ON A WEEKLY BASIS ON SATURDAY EVENINGS. THE AVERAGE TURNOUT IS APPROXIMATELY 10 -18 PEOPLE PER EVENT. SUMMARY: THE CCDA OFFERS ANYONE WITH THE INTEREST OF ENGLISH DARTS TO PARTICIPATE AT THEIR COMFORT LEVEL BY THE MANY DIFFERENT VENUES THE CCDA HAS TO OFFER. THE BOARD IS MADE OF VETERAN DART PLAYERS WHOM HAVE PARTICPATED THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY AT DIFFERENT LEVELS. MONIES RECEIVED FROM MEMBERS ARE DISPERSED WITH INTENTIONS TO HELP PROMOTE THE SPORT OF ENGLISH DARTS. THE CCDA UNDERSTANDS THE IMPORTANCE OF GRASS ROOT ENTRY PLAYERS IN THEIR ORGANIZATION AND PROVIDE A STRUCTURED ENVIRONMENT TO LET THEM EXPAND THEIR DART HORIZON AS THEY KNOW IT.
