THE 2009 RETURN WAS THE INITIAL FILING FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND THE RETURN WAS INADVERTENTLY FILED AFTER THE REQUIRED DUE DATE. THE 2010 AND 2009 RETURNS ARE BEING FILED AT THE SAME TIME. THE ORGANIZATION RELIED ON THE FORMER TAX PREPARER TO FILE FORM 990-EZ FOR THE 2010 TAX YEAR. IT WAS DETERMINED IN 2012 THAT THE 2010 FORM 990-EZ HAD NOT BEEN FILED BY THE FORMER TAX PREPARER. THE ORGANIZATION HAS RETAINED A CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT TO ASSIST IN FILING LATE FORM 990'S AND TO ASSIST WITH FUTURE FILINGS. THE LATE FILINGS WERE NOT A WILLFUL DISREGARD BY THE ORGANIZATION'S PRESIDENT OR BOARD MEMBERS AND EFFORTS ARE BEING MADE TO ENSURE ALL FUTURE FILINGS WILL BE TIMELY. THE ORGANIZATION IS A SMALL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, AND THE LATE FILING PENALTY WOULD PRESENT A SIGNIFICANT BURDEN GIVEN ITS LIMITED BUDGET. THE ORGANIZATION OPERATED IN GOOD FAITH AND STEPS HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO ENSURE ALL FUTURE FILINGS WILL BE TIMELY.
