What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? The International Association of Firefighters Local 1324 represents approximately 52 members and was formed to organize all firefighters and emergency medical or rescue workers, to promote fair and reasonable working conditions, secure just compensation for services and equitable settlement of grievances, improve the working skills and efficiency of its members, to protect ourselves and our survivors by fostering adequate sick and death benefits, encourage friendship and trust among our members and to preserve and enhance the altruism and courage which are the essence of our profession.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 The International Association of Fire Fighters, Local 1324 is the primary advocate for providing fire fighters and paramedics with the tools they need to perform their job. The union also provides a strong voice in the development and implementation of new training and equipment, and has worked hard to advance the proper staffing of fire and EMS departments.
