28 TO KEEP MEMBERS OF THE LIBRARY PROFESSION INFORMED AT ALL TIMES OF DEVELOPMENTS IN THE LIBRARY FIELD. A YEARLY CONFERENCE IS ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 650 MEMBERS. TO PROMOTE INTEREST IN BOOKS ABOUT LOUISIANA AND TO ENCOURAGE THEIR PRODUCTION.
