28 The Guild pays dues to The Washington Council of Police & Sheriffs which is a professional organization that has protected the rights and the quality of life of sworn law enforcement officers before the Washington State Legislature and also holds meetings with members to discuss pertinent information with Guild members.

The Guild contracts with legal firms to represent its police officer members in their contract negotiations with the City of Kirkland. The Officers employment contract is negotiated an renewed every two years.
