Board members are elected to the board by district on a one member one vote basis. Department heads and all salaried compensations are determined by a independent compensation study consisting of job knowledge, organizational leadership, organizational impact, complexity of work, and communication skills needed to advance the interest of the Cooperative. The study uses comparable data from other electric industry coopertives. The range is recommended by the CEO and approved the the Board of Directors. The last study was completed in 2010.

A call to members is scheduled at each regularly scheduled monthly board meeting, individual cooperative members may present questions at this time. The Cooperative issues a monthly newsletter to each member each month, the reqularly scheduled board meeting meeting and time are listed in the newsletter. A call to members is also scheduled at each cooperative annual meeting. A summary of the year-end Financial Statement is mailed to each member prior to the annual meeting, and is also available on the company webside www.navopache.org. Monthly board meeting minutes are available to members upon request. Cooperative membership approval is required by mail ballot for by-law changes.
