Briefly describe the organization’s mission: The Oldtown Volunteer Fire Department, Inc. has been specifically organized to protect the lives, property and environment of the people in the Village of Oldtown, Allegany County, Maryland and also afford the same protection to the general area covering those sections of Election District 2 bounded by Cresap Mill Road on the west; Little Orleans to the east; Pumpkin Center on the north; and the Potomac River on the south.

Elected positions include president, vice-president, recording secretary, financial secretary, treasurer, trustee, chief, and EMS captain.

Their recommendations are presented to the general membership for approval or denial, depending on the issues.

It is presented to the membership for review after filing during the next general business meeting. A copy is also filed with the Volunteer Company Assistance Fund Committee of the Maryland State Fireman's Association as part of our commitment to a loan/grant package received from that committee for the purchase of our Engine Rescue.
