The purpose of the organization is:1.To render quality medical care to all patients admitted to or treated in any of the facilities, departments, or services of the Medical Center;2.To provide continuous performance improvement control mechanisms concerning patient care and to ensure that the interests and safety of the patients of the hospital are accorded the highest priority; 3.To promote a high level of professional performance in the Medical Center through the appropriate delineation of the clinical privileges that each practitioner may exercise in the Medical Center and through an ongoing review and evaluation of each practitioner's performance in the Medical Center;4. To conduct an on-going assessment, and at least biennial review and re-evaluation of each practitioner's performance in the hospital;5. To provide an appropriate educational setting that will maintain scientific standards and that will lead to continuous advancement in professional knowledge and skill;6.To develop,
