Description of Intended Use of Endowment Funds:	Part V, Line 4:	The board of trustees has designated $5 and $1, respectively, of weekly member's dues as assessments for a special Legal Counsel Fund and a Widow's Fund. As of September 30, 2011, the Foundation does not believe that it has taken any positions that would require the recording of any additional tax liability nor does it believe that there are any unrealized tax benefits that would either increase or decrease within the next year. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6		Any person who is a regular member of the Stamford Police Department and who holds a rank which falls within the collective bargaining unit of the Stamford Police Association, Inc. as recognized by the City of Stamford, shall be eligible for membership in this Association.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7a		A special meeting to nominate elected positions for the Association shall be scheduled by the President one month prior to the annual meeting. No member may be nominated for more than one elected office. General elections shall be held on the day following the annual meeting. The member receiving the highest number of votes shall be declared the winner for all elceted offices except the Board of Trustees. The three members receiving the highest number of votes for the Board of Trustees shall be declared the winners.
Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7b		Ten members excluding elected officers shall constitute a quorum for the lawful transaction of all business which may properly come before any meeting of this Association. A majority of those voting, including abstentions shall be required to pass any motion brought before the Association unless otherwise provided for in the By-Laws.
