THE MISSION OF THE HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF ORANGE COUNTY EDUCATION FOUNDATION IS TO COMPLEMENT THE ORANGE COUNTY HISPANIC CHAMBER OF COMMERCE'S WORK IN ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BY SUPPORTING ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION THROUGHOUT ORANGE COUNTY. WE SERVE OUR COMMUNITY BY OFFERING PROGRAMS WHICH PROMOTE EDUCATION, ENCOURAGE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT AND PROVIDE LEADERSHIP TRAINING.
FIRST ACCOMPLISHMENT

YOUTH CHAMBER PROGRAM-OVER 250 COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE INVOLVED IN THE PROGRAMS. SOME OF OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE SIX ROUND TABLE SEMINARS ON TOPICS RANGING FROM BUSINESS ETIQUETTE, NETWORKING AND RESUME BUILDING, MOCK INTERVIEWS ETC. WE PROVIDE GUEST SPEAKERS THAT DISCUSS THE CONCERNS OF THE STUDENTS AND THEIR FUTURE EMPLOYMENT. IN ADDITION WE TO TRY TO GET THE STUDENTS INTERNSHIPS IN THEIR FIELD OF STUDY. WE TRY TO GET THE STUDENTS SOME EXPOSURE TO THE BUSINESS AND PROFESSIONAL COMMUNITY. THESE PROGRAMS TRAINS THE STUDENTS AND GIVES THEM OPPORTUNIITIES TO WORK EXPOSURE IN THEIR FIELDS OF STUDY. THE PROGRAM PROVIDED SEVEN SCHOLARHSIPS TO STUDENTS IN THE YOUTH CHAMBER PROGRAM.
SECOND ACCOMPLISHMENT

BUSINESS AND HEALTH WELLNESS SYMPOSIUM: THIS PROGRAM PROVIDED A FREE SYMPOSIUM WITH INFORMATION TARGETED TO BUSINESS OWNERS & NON-PROFIT LEADERS FOR THE PURPOSE OF INSIGHT AND UNDERSTANDING OF MANAGEMENT AND STRATEGY PLAN DEVELOPMENT. THE FOCUS OF THE TRAINING PROVIDED EFFECTIVE STRATEGIES TO GROW ITS CUSTOMER BASE, INCREASE ITS REVENUES AND INCREASE CUSTOMER LOYALTY. THE INFORMATION AND TIPS PROVIDED INSIGHT TO THE HEALTH AND WELL BEING OF THEIR EMPLOYEES.
THIRD ACCOMPLISHMENT

CAREER FORUM: THIS PROGRAM IS TO ASSIST HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WITH EXPOSURE TO PROFESSIONS AND BUSINESSES IN THE COMMUNITY. THE PROGRAM SUPPORTS VARIOUS HIGH SCHOOLS IN ORANGE COUNTY WORKING WITH TEACHERS FORMING CLUBS TO ENGAGE STUDENTS AND PROVIDE THEM WITH INFORMATION TO ACHIEVE THEIR CAREER GOALS. THE PROGRAM ALSO AWARDED SIX SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS PARTICATING IN THE CLUBS.
