OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 5: PILOT PROGRAMS: EACH OF THE PILOTS OFFERED WORKSHOPS DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2012.*THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FUNDED THE LARGER PILOT, SMALL MEASURE WEATHERIZATION:FACILITATING COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT, EDUCATION, AND INVOLVEMENT FOR ENERGY EDUCATORS FOR TWO YEARS. THE FUNDING SOURCE WAS RELIANT SETTLEMENT FUNDS.*IN JANUARY, 2011, CEP BEGAN OFFERING EPA ACCREDITED RRP(RENOVATION, REPAIR, AND TRAINING) RULE WORKSHOPS, AND EIGHT HOUR PROGRAM DEVISED AND MANDATED BY THE EPA FOR ANYONE RENOVATING, REPAIRING, OR PAINTING A BUILDING USED OR OCCUPIED BY PREGNANT WOMEN OR CHILDREN UNDER SIX. CEP PROVIDED THIS FEE-FOR-SERVICE WORKSHOP FOR 48 PEOPLE DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2012.*IN FEBRUARY, 2012, CEP BEGAN A FEASIBILITY STUDY CONSIDERING PROVIDING HOME PERFORMANCE SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC, TARGETING LOWER INCOME PEOPLE AND DO-IT-YOURSELFERS. CEP MOVED TO THE PILOT PHASE IN APRIL, NAMING THE PROGRAM COMMUNITY HOME PERFORMANCE.CEP ALSO FACILITATED ENERGY BILL-PAYING FOR 125 FAMILIES BY ALLOCATING APPROXIMATELY $38,000 IN OREGON HEAT FUNDS DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2012. AND THIS FISCAL YEAR, CEP'S SMALL PRIMARILY VOLUNTEER-RUN RETAIL OUTLET GROSSED ITS ALL TIME SALES HIGH OF $13,300, AND INCREASE OF 118% OVER THE PRIOR YEAR. OTHER PROGRAM SERVICES 6: VOLUNTEER & OUTREACH PROGRAM UNDERPINS ALL OTHER PROGRAM ACTIVITIES. THIS PROGRAM RECRUITED, TRAINED, AND SUPPORTED 288 VOLUNTEERS AND INTERNS DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2012, WHO PROVIDED 3,018 HOURS OF ESSENTIAL LABOR, AN INCREASE IN HOURS OF 24% AND PROVIDING 1.45 FTE. CEP ALSO PARTICIPATED IN 23 COMMUNITY EVENTS AND 17 MEETINGS AND PRESENTATIONS AT WHICH THEY OFFERED INFORMATION AND REFERRAL TO AT LEAST 952 PEOPLE ATTENDING. NEARLY 1,402 ADDITIONAL REFERRALS WERE MADE DIRECTLY THROUGH CEP'S OFFICE, 182 DURING IN HOME VISITS, AND 223 FLYERS HANDED OUT DOOR-TO-DOOR GENERATED 29 NEW SENIOR CLIENTS. OVER 55,100 RESOURCE REFERRALS WERE MADE THROUGH DISTRIBUTION OF LISTS AND BROCHURES, WHILE ALMOST 376,000 WERE MADE THROUGH THE WEBSITE. THIS YEAR CEP'S MAILING LIST HAS GROWN TO 1,260 STEADY CONTACTS; OUR NEWSLETTERS GENERATED AN ABOVE-AVERAGE CLICK RATE FOR OUR INDUSTRY.
