What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Helping to protect and improve our food supply by sharing scientific knowledge and providing our members with a networking forum.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Suppliers Night: 4 speakers covered: A review of good manufacturing processing in dry mix products, flavor descriptors and how to best work with flavor houses, the legal ramifications of the new Food Safety Modernization Act, and criteria for selecting natural colors in dry and liquid systems. 204 professional members and students attended. 90 table top displays were erected by the suppliers who paid to attend and for the privledge of educating members about their products. Also held a student poster session to display the results of their research programs in the hope of winning 1 of 8 grants.
