The purpose of a mentoring program is to provide inexperienced lawyers practicing in Connecticut with meaningful access to an experienced member of the bar, who will provide the guidance, direction and advice the inexperienced attorney will require during his or her first years of practice, including the practical skills and judgment essential to the practice of law; the customs, usages and unwritten rules of practice; and the ethical and professional values that represent the best traditions and highest aspirations of the legal profession.
