What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? Physicians association
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Professional development: The TJHCMS is an organization of almost 300 physicians in the West Texas area who are dedicated to providing health care of the highest quality to the residents of the Big Country. Together with the Texas Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and other state, county, and specialty societies, we are a part of the federation of organized medicine.By common association with other physicians on a local and national level to improve the quality of the public services provided by the medical community.The purpose of the organization was articulated August 8, 1958 as follows: "The purpose for which this corporation is formed is to associate in a single body the duly licensed regular practitioners of medicine in Taylor and Jones counties, and such other counties as may affiliate with this Corporation, to dispense charity among the worthy sick, to carry on research work in the various fields of medicine and surgery, for the alleviation of human suffering, and to do all the other things necessary and incidental to the carrying out of such purposes."Public education: Through publications promote a better understanding by the public of the services provided by the medical community.
