Grantmaker's Description of How Grants are Used		Yuma Rotary provides scholarships to community students. The scholarship monies are disbursed directly to the recipients' universities and community colleges for the educational institutions to monitor the distribution of the monies to the students.Monies are donated to community 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Yuma Rotary may provide general contributions to organizations or may specify specific programs for the monies to be spent on by the recipient organizations. The recipient organization agrees to spend the monies as specified by Yuma Rotary.The large grant is to Rotary Foundation which is associated with the Rotary international. Yuma Rotary can specify specific programs such as Polio Plus or Rotary Youth Leadership Awards where the monies are to be spent or can send unrestricted monies. The Rotary Foundation reports to chapters about its activities periodically. Rotary Foundation has an annual audit performed.
