What is the organization's primary exempt purpose? ReAL Action is dedicated to renewing America through the restoration and application of biblical values to national life by engaging in the public policy process - educating, organizing, training, and mobilizing people.
Describe the organization’s program service accomplishments for each of its three largest program services, as measured by expenses. In a clear and concise manner, describe the services provided, the number of persons benefited, and other relevant information for each program title.
28 Balanced Budget Amendment. In 2010 Renewing American Leadership Action designed the House and Senate bills that launched the campaign for a "strong" Balanced Budget Constitutional Amendment bill. Our bill was the first balanced budget amendment to include a super majority requirement to raise taxes, and a cap on future federal spending tied to the GDP. We recruited the House and Senate sponsors and organized the initial support coalition for the bill. In 2011 we won the co-sponsorship of all 46 GOP Senators and 132 House Members. Our bill became the basis for the campaign of the Cut Cap & Balance Coalition, the largest center-right coalition in history. Our proposal played a significant part in the negotiations that led up to the Budget Agreement of 2011, which was hammered out between Congress and the Obama Administration.

29 Pulpit Freedom Sunday. Renewing American Leadership Action, in conjunction with Renewing American Leaderhip, organized a national recruitment and promotional campaign for Pulpit Freedom Sunday, (www.pulpitfreedom.org) in cooperation with the Alliance Defending Freedom (formerly Alliance Defense Fund). Pulpit Freedom Sunday is a project designed to restore the right of pastors to speak freely from their pulpits about all matters included in Scripture, even when Scripture is deeply relevant to a pending election or the quality of a candidate for office. In 2011 we expanded the participation of pastors in Pulpit Freedom Sunday by 439%, from 100 to 539.
